Hello everyone and welcome to my first thread in the site
so I just need some help in somethings
I was going to buy a psp called street ,but when I looked here on some thread seemed to me it wasn,t a good one
so what I need of help is which one and what things I need with it like charger and stuff and most importantly is the memory card cus I download many psp games XD
keep in my that I am from out of Europe and so the sellers around me may not sell everything I may need.

I would highly recommend the PSP-2000 series. You'll find them for less than the 3000, and there's almost no difference. If you're going to be downloading your games, check out Rydian's thread here to find which models will be hackable (removing the UMD drive will also save a lot of battery power, but is ultimately optional).

For memory cards, just get a MicroSD to Memory Stick adapter. I have one of these and it works wonders. You'll save money and be able to get up to 128GB of space.
Unless you're willing to spend more money on Sony's M2 card (the highest capacity available is 16GB), avoid the PSPgo. It's nice and portable, but a pain for storing PSP titles, and not as comfortable as the other models for such games.

For a charger, just get a USB cable. All models can charge through USB, and can be changed to do so when powered off through CFW.
Another reason to avoid the PSPgo is that the USB cable is a proprietary format and pretty tough to find for a good price.

Sadly, I didn,t find psp at my town other than street and 1000

I am thinking of buying psp 3000 bundle from amazon.com is it a good deal or there is a better way ?

If some member bought a memory card called sandisk I think could you put the link and I MEAN the one you bought from 16-32g would be wonderful

Sorry for spamming the forum >_<

From amazon.com?
That'd probably be difficult considering I find it extremely hard to find any sellers shipping to Canada (I kinda figure most americans aren't sure where Canada even is so they don't offer the choice...).

If its easier to find a 3000 where you are, could go with that. Of course its quite solid.
But I don't really find it a huge step up from the 2000, and the 2000's are way cheaper AFAIR. So if you could find a 2k online to buy, that'd be a better alternative.

...or (and I hate suggesting this thing) you could look for a PSPGO.
It's the ugliest damn thing on the planet but it has pretty nice internal memory so it saves you the hassle of finding memory for a PSP 2k or 3k.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
