I just learned today that someone filed a dispute on my old paypal about 7 days ago, which is still linked to my current ebay. I was about a stick of ram I sent him about 2 weeks ago.

Once I located the tracking number, I found that the address match, and even called ebay and paypal (paypal just told me to contact ebay though.) for some confimation, so once I entered in the tracking number in the paypal dispute, I went to message the guy on ebay.

But here is the thing: accounts gone, unregistered in that week span, what's even more weird is that I was also trying to contact him regarding the paypal payment while I was shipping it, as I need to fix a email on it, he never responded to the 3 messages I've sent him. His paypal email doesn't even look real, and it doesn't even match his account name, which I assumed to be a computer memory company, each email looks like a company name and have the year at the end of it.

So, I'm confused beyond this point as to what I should do, I've tried sending email to the paypal email as well, but he hasn't responded, so I can't seem to contact the buyer, and I'm still wondering how a case is opened for a unregistered ebay account.

If the other party doesn't respond to messages on Paypal, the dispute will be closed with no action taken (IIRC). So you should be fine if he doesn't respond or anything.
I just find it weird that he filed a dispute then his ebay account just vanishes.

If the person being disputed against enters a tracking number, paypal assumes they're in the right.

... even if they enter random bullshit english strings, like happened to me twice. :\
Heh, the tracking number is correct, I checked it myself and even called ebay, who also confirmed it was correct, I was just confused about why the ebay account is gone and yet the case is still up, and that the account was unregistered just around sametime after the case was opened.

Paypal enjoys fucking people over.
Pretty much why I only use it for secure payments I know I wont possibly ever need to dispute, because all paypal will do is give me the finger and spit on me.

I could be wrong but it might've been suspended. That doesn't really answer things, but i'm pretty sure suspended ebay accounts show up as unregistered.
So the person might've tried mass filing for refunds or some stupid shit and ebay backhanded him.
Though wouldn't really make any sense why the dispute is still open.
