I still haven't play the PS3 version, and I've being spoiled few times now
I thought the "dying mother" written in bold wasn't that important because it might be the introduction of the game, but try not to tell the ending

I played through the entire game.
Without spoiling too much, the ending of the DS version is pretty much the same as the ending of the Shadar arc, and it's not ambiguous at all (it's only that the prologue of the DS version is missing that cutscene, but it's heavily implied).
Only thing that changed in the ending was Oliver not being ... threatened after the fight (I wonder why, but I'll have to wait for until a translator comes and helps with the English translation ), Alicia referring to Natius as "onii-chan" in the DS version which implies...
Also there are some scenes exclusive to this version
("Three years, huh.." "I'll play a melody for you, Oliver..." cue credits. It's not like she is morning him, he's alive and well, and there's more to it)
Shazar (Gallus in US) is a bonus boss in this game, his true identity is the same as in the PS3 version, holding with him the Astra wand AND the spell 47 AND a second ending.

P.S. Following further investigations it seems that the official but never released title for the English version had to be "Domain of the Dark Djinn", so the italian version should be "Il dominio del Genio Nero".
However I'm not part of the team so it's just an info. ^^

I don't have made one for now.
I have done a Undub logo title "Shikkoku no Madōshi" for the english project, and could provide a real english one if needed.

so I think Oliver's mother die in the ds version too.

Recently we have started to work constantly, both with the translation of the text, and images. Previously we have translated some pictures, but their quality was poor. So we decided to start from scratch, for a better result.
A few weeks ago the first post has been stylistically improved, now there are the percentages of the progress of the translation.
In the last period we decided to change the title of the translation, trying to adopt a model similar to that of the game for ps3.
The program to insert images (ninoimager) is now almost working (it does not work with textures yet), you can see screenshots of the game in the first post.
Now the team has stabilized, and we are in 3: Njoe, ERap320, and myself.
Right now I'm working on a program to insert the script translated. Just finished I'll be able to show you more screenshots.
