So I have everything set just as in the first post. My 3ds connects and does detect the NintendoZone. But when I start the Mac Cycle (max) it disables the wifi card (like if you went into device manager and disabled it).

What do you suggest, Chaldron?

By work, do you mean you can connect on your 3DS, it shows up as a Nintendo Zone and you can browse the internet?

yup it show up with nintendo zone on the 3ds xl. it flashes and blinks and stuff. has internet on the device. but no tags.

my normal 3ds still doesnt connect at all not even sure. but it see the nintendo zone and glows as well, not internet.

1. Turn off the connection with "netsh wlan stop hostednetwork"
2. Change "Wi-Fi" MAC with macshift
3. Change "Wireless Network Connection" (In your case "3DS") MAC with macshift
4. reconfigure the hostednetwork, but with the same credentials as last time: "netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=attwifi key=password"
5. Start the hostednetwork again with "netsh wlan start hostednetwork".

It's all really delicate and specific at my place, apparently :P.

When I perform the Stop command, the whole Virtual Network adapter disappears, meaning I can't edit the MAC address of it.
I tried anyway but as soon as I start it, the MAC has reset to the default value.
Suggestions?

The only problem I have with this is that it just disables my wifi card after every streetpass hit, why is this? and it also takes ages to reconnect, sometimes it doesnt even reconnect :s

Completely normal, the reason is that someone is passing a pair of MAC in front of you.

I used this method on my laptop with a ethernet cable and it was working great but when i tried without the cable and was just using my laptops wifi it would not work and would disconnect me from the internets everytime your cycler would change macs for a few seconds, can this method be done without an ethernet cable? or have i just messed up somewhere lol

It resets the wireless adapter, this is normal.

Actually, it isn't. My laptop gives MACs inconsistenly.

Manual prime MACs --> Highest chance, but still low (maybe 25-30% or so)
Cycler prime MACs --> Lower chance
Cycler MAX other MACs --> Extremely low chance

Meanwhile... Android Phone --> 90% chance.

Hell, I could just pass a MAC on the cycler first. If the green light doesn't burn, I can quit it. Use the same MAC on my phone and then I do get an SP.

Basically, it not working very consistently on Windows is most likely a result of Microsoft's garbage, restrictive programming.

Chaldron, just suggeting. If possible, you could improve the program adding a function that always cycles macs that weren't cycled before, I wonder it would be randomly. Currently, the program use a sequence MAC's number, so when I close the program to clear the plaza and after cleared I restart the program again, the first MAC's numbers are the same that I cycled lastly, not getting any sp tags due 8hrs cooldown. I know the program has skip function, but it too slow when you have a bunch of MACs to redo getting sp tags again.

Hello all,
I am having some major issues with this script as well as the other methods, ie) manually shifting MAC addresses. I follow the second post tutorial for this script to a "T" and I have no problems connecting to the Internet, maintaining that connection or getting spotpass stuff such as swapnote, while running this script. I can't for the life of me get a streetpass using this method or the other one listed on gbatemp. What could I possibly be doing wrong? I am using Windows 7 on an Ethernet connected laptop and also my network card, "Wi-Fi" is not connected to anything and appears to be changing MAC addresses as I see it reconnect after the 900 seconds are up. Is anybody else in the same boat? EVERYTHING works or appears to be working fine but no streetpasses?

Just want to post and say that I got this working flawless without any hassle. Usually the problem with technology is the thing between the chair and the keyboard. Nah, just kidding.

But seriously, think about the 8 hour cool down when testing. The first cycles won't register if you tested them manually. And some computers differs. I could think of a couple of reasons why some set ups wouldn't act normal. And if you have a set up that inactivates your wi-fi card for good every time, tough luck. But it is nice to see soo many people trying to get this to work.

Something I feel is kinda irritating is that there is no randomizer up in this thing. I pass over and over with the same dude forcing me to look at every pass instead of collecting ten people. The ideal program would do a lot of things but this is just a basic script though so I get why it is like it is!

Good job everyone on this and keep passing!

Fixed my original problem. Right clicking the cycler and running as admin wouldn't work. If I open the command prompt as administrator and start it from a command prompt it works. After every couple of macshift commands my wifi adapter has to be unplugged and reseated for some reason, but I suspect this has something to do with the adapter and not the program itself. Anyone having any strange problems might want to give this a shot.

I have that problem, sometimes when the adapter resets, it doesn't connect to the internet, the connection says "invalid ip adress" and after many tries it reconects again, or when a MAC is changed again.
