No, it depends on the specs of your PC. But if you run at low settings (which looks about the same as consoles), any respectable gaming PC can easily get higher framerates than a console. You really think that any current console can run a game with higher framerate that a GTX Titan rig running the same game at low settings? A GTX Titan can get 200 FPS in Skyrim maximum settings.

Considering that I can still run PC games from the 90s on my Windows 7 PC, it is unlimited. And for even older games, there's something called a virtual machine.

I got 10 AAA titles from $90 during the Steam summer sale. 10 AAA titles would cost several hundred dollars on consoles. And console games rarely go on sale. Never had a problem with Steam's DRM. And if you don't want DRM, you could just use GoG.com instead. They offer games 100% DRM Free.

In the case of inferior console ports, community-created patches usually fix that and mods will improve the game graphically. At the end of the day, EVERY game I know is superior on PCs.

And you complaining about HDD space? I though your "PC" can "max out" most games. How did you afford a high-end PC and not have enough money for an extra HDD?
because I'd rather spend my money on my projects and my music/videos rather than an HDD to play a game i can get for cheap on my console that plays it without any problems. Still No Valid Point

And AAA titles at that, if the marketing can be fixed, then the Wii U will do better. Probably not on the level of the Wii or DS, but it should do fine once the big hitters are released

Well, i read a GREAT article by Jeremy Parish about that as he compared the Wii U to the GameCube. Personally I'd rather compare it to the 3DS and look where that system is now.
Marketing and branding need to be fixed, the games ARE coming anyway. Nintendo will NEVER be popular by 3rd partys anyway so we can be glad we get some support but fact is, MOST of us just have a Nintendo console for the Nintendo brands like Mario and Zelda. If we get something else on it, it's a bonus.

Exactly, I just have a Wii U for Nintendo games. Everything else is for my PS3. When Nintendo get's those games there won't be that much of an issue left.

What the fuck sort of argument is that? Explain why the points are invalid please, because in my experience, he makes some very valid points. Show me a console that can run Skyrim at 200FPS and look as good as the PC version does. Newer Super Mario Bros Wii and Brawl hacks are nothing compared to PC mods. PC games are infinitely cheaper, go to the shop and buy Mirror's Edge, BF3, Sims 3, Dead Space 1 and 3, Burnout Paradise, Medal of Honor and Crysis 2 for $5 please. Most indie games that will appear on Wii U are being developed for PC and ported to Wii U. Oculus Rift and Multi-Monitor gaming have absolutely no console counterparts. I can multi-task without minimizing my game. Even without an SSD, PC load times are still faster. Also do you know what exemplary means? You sound like an absolute moron. By the way, I have a Wii U. I use it exclusively to watch Anime and TV in bed because I can count the number of good games it has with my bollocks.

Well, if you look at the facts. PC Gaming offers more, but also has it's downsides. Not many people can look past the common myths surrounding PC gaming ("Too expensive, have to upgrade every year, can't play while on my couch"). Also, I've been on GBATemp for quite a while. My account got lost in the wind XD

Just because PCs are better does not mean everyone has to have one, or should have one. They're more powerful, but a lot of people play consoles because they're, you know, cheaper? Not everyone has $700-$1000 lying around to build a desktop. We know about the fact, we've beaten the dead horse enough times, PC will always be more powerful, but that does not mean people will get one, nor should they be coerced into getting one. If people want to play consoles, we need to respect that instead of forcing PC elitist propaganda down their throats. Why is that so hard for people to understand? Heaven forbid people prefer consoles over PCs, you'd think it's a crime punishable by death to like consoles more.

No one has to get a PC just as no one has to get a game console.

I have consoles and a desktop PC, no crimes committed. There are games that PCs have that consoles don't and vice versa.

A gaming PC doesn't have to cost between $700-$1000 and if it did cost that much, you'd make the difference back within a year because of how cheap everything is. I understand your point, but it's hard for me to not argue when everyone is dismissing PC gaming simply because of myths that have been spread.
