Hi Everyone.

I've started a petition to issue a formal request to the M3 Team to improve the support for the M3 and G6 by working more closely with homebrew developers and providing them with the tools they need to support these fine products.

If you'd like to participate, Please go here to sign the petition and make your voice heard.

Thank you.

is there a certain homebrew in perticular that does not work for u or soemthing? Every homebrew I have ever tried on the M3 works perfectly fine.

It's less an issue of what's working now, and more a look into the future, DragonMinded has already stated that he is dropping support for the M3\G6, so we might expect problems in the future, If a developer like DragonMinded decides the M3\G6 are too much of a hassle to develop for, who's to say other developers won't decide to drop support for their software as well.

What's up with all the DSorganize needs to work comments on the petition? I have an M3 SD and have DSoraganize on it and it runs fine.

As much as I'd love for them to release their sourcecode, I think I'll just buy a supercard CF and call it a day.
I'm guessing the m3 team has heard plenty about this already.
Maybe with the increased competition coming just over the hill, they'll decide to do something. I can assure you though, they'll do just as much as they NEED to, and nothing more.
I don't think a petition achieves much in such a niche market.

I dont think they care.

They sure don't Only thing they care about is that you have bought their product

I wouldn't give up so easily. Look at how brand loyalties changed between the GBA days and the current NDS scene... the M3 team may have our money now but what about slot 1 products or the next generation? If we show them that a lot of people care, they may be hesitant to piss off their current user base so readily.

I've just sent Danny from the G6/M3 team an email asking about the FATlib source files and explained the homebrew situation. I'm currently writing a G6 Lite review and the outcome of this email will affect it. I made sure to let him know that so hopefully he'll pay attention.

Like I said in the other topic (same petition),

It's just DSorganize you guys are worried about right (or future ones involving fat lib)? If you have a list of homebrew that doesn't work with m3 and there's a bunch of them (~5-10?), sure they will care.

If not, and it's just 1 (dsorganize), then I doubt they will do anything to solve it (They do have their own PDA function after all).

Speaking of M3 PDA, is there no english still? Lol. It was promised that it will be released 2 weeks after chinese version...

I think they're all busy working on the SLOT1 flash cart project.

I hate to rain on this parade but i'm sure most of you know these online petitions are worthless as most of them never get anything done. You have to remember that the guys in China are not making this kit for you guys, they're making it to how they see the kit is profitable.

And how exactly is the kit made profitable? I assume that it is by sales to people like us guys....

Releasing the source would only take them a few minutes, and people can still get it right now by decompiling/hacking what they have already released. Its no extra work at all on their part, and makes for at least 165 happier people. They may care, and they may not...but really, signing the petition only takes a few seconds. I'm willing to spend a few seconds if it even increases the chances of better homebrew support by a fraction of a percent.
