I think something like this may work on my android, however I cant find any file containing my real mac address.
I'm on HTC Desire and I flashed a Jelly Bean Rom to it.

these work on galaxy mini device, not work on galaxy ace 2 because there is no file by that name ... can you find the file containing the MAC ...

Try my script. I've updated it to work on Atheros chipsets. Dont hesitate to PM me or post here if it doesn't work! I personally use broadcom so I can't test.

MAC Cycle is now version 3. (updated for atheros)

I tried it and it sadly doesn't work for me. It resets the adapter after switching MAC, but it doesn't start the hosted network up again. Basically, it's exactly the same as before.

I removed the second wifi virtual miniport in device manager. No problem there.
Still can't get streetpasses. If I look in tmac and click on virtual wifi, I see under active MAC address: "88-53-2E-0B-74-5E (Inactive: 4E-53-50-4F-4F-46)" ..is this the same for people with it working, or is this the crux of my problem (and again, it'd be nice to see if someone else can spoof that MAC and get my mii, then I'll know for sure the problem is the virtual wifi is not taking the right MAC) The Wifi connection shows 4E-53-50-4F-4F-46 as active.

EXACTLY the same problem as me!
I havent removed the other virtual wifi miniport, but I did disable it and I know the Wireless Network Connection 3 was responsible for attwifi anyway.

Negatory. *frustrated*

Can anyone confirm what it shows under 'Active MAC' for the Virtual Wifi when using this method when it works?

Hrm, the plot thickens... Try disabling the virtual port and enabling it again. That should make it refresh all it's settings (MAC included).
In an administrator-privileges CMD, type:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=disallow

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow

If this is device-specific, then my method should work for lg p350 and p500.
However, device-specific will be a problem, since that means we can't write a general guide. I could be wrong though.

Hmm after I did that. my Wireless Network Connection 2 disappeared...
Will try it out again now and see what happens...

EDIT: No, the virtual wifi miniport still has "4E:53:50:4F:4F:46" as being inactive.

apparently works on other devices and, not finding the file, you can do ... is a matter of people try, total, only going to miss a few minutes of time to try it: P

the method that put as generic, in my case it does not work ... so I use this ^ ^

I tried without the wired connection by now and it doesn't work. My 3DS gets a connection to my laptop, but it won't connect to the internet. I have a fairly new laptop as well, an Acer Timeline Ultra M3.
Have you shared the wifi Internet connection to your hosted network?
I'm using Dell latitude 10 with Broadcom 802.11abgn wireless sdio adapter. It works fine.

It must be the LAN not WAN mac

Just tested it. Thanks! I forgot that I had to share the wifi internet connection. Not seeing Streetpasses pop up though, but that might be because it maybe wasn't 8 hours before I tried it yet. But at least it now connects to the internet. I'll try later to see if SP's pop up this way.

Yeah, still shows that MAC as 'inactive' for me too.

I wonder why that is. After changing the MAC the program restarts the hosted network. Weird... I'll compile a debug version later, would you mind giving me the output of what it says after changing the MAC?

It is normal when I close my 3DS, he got disconnected from Virtual Router?
Everytime I close and reopen, I need to reconfig all my wifi settings cause it cant get the mac and the ip again.

And how I can see if my MAC is the one I set up? When I use "ipconfig /all" it shows the original MAC from my USB device.

Make sure Macshift has successfully changed the MAC address, and the 3DS should stay connected in sleep mode. Try turning off the hosted network and connecting to your normal wifi you have, and see if it stays connected while closed (e.g you can download something)

Now it appears connected. I recieve a message that a stop is near, but can't connect and can't find any streetpass.
How I can check if macshift change the MAC correctly?

When you typed macshift in the command line, it should have outputted something. could you copy paste that here?
