Maybe we should have a MAC exchange thread.
Btw how do I change MAC on my android phone.

It's best to have a single MAC to work from, instead of many. A single MAC that multiple connect to will allow for more variety of StreetPasses. And probably best to be using a "made up" MAC address instead of a specific router address. The primary MAC being passed around is working for streetpassing currently - but we need more 3DS owners to get on it (after config'ing for it)

To change MAC on Android phone, you have to ROOT your phone, install a custom Rom most likely (i.e. Cyanogen) and then install a WiFi Tether mod that lets you "spoof" or change your MAC address (aka Physical address).

Whoa!!! So streetpass tunels are indeed working :O
It's not so much a tunnel but basically we're spoofing a Nintendo Zone Relay Station. If it was tunnel we could exchange 1:1 but it's more of I get the previous person's Streetpass data from our "relay point" then the next person gets mine.

Still not getting it to work, even though I'm connected to a Nintendo Zone. Maybe it's just too many 3DS units active here.

It's more than a little annoying.
I feel your pain. I keep thinking something is wrong, but my DD-WRT does say WAN MAC = 40:53:50:4F:4F:46 and the Nintendo Zone works fine.

That's odd. Within 5 minutes of my DD-WRT config, I got a StreetPass hit. But I haven't got one since. Maybe I'll try changing the MAC to the other one mentioned in the thread. 40:53:50:4F:4F:47

Just commenting, I passed all the instructions from this thread to a friend of mine in another city (miles away from here) in Brazil, and works with him too (SSID _The Cloud, 40:53:50:4F:4F:46 ).

Also, I used their MAC address ( CC:FE:3C:92: DF:43) and he got a StreetPass hit from me in their 3DS.

How did you changed the MAC address on your Android? I have a Galaxy S with Cyanogenmod 10.1, I tried some apps with no result because when I share my mobile connection, the MAC address resets back to the original.

Sweet X-Legend, you got my StreetPass - I'm going to switch back to that MAC soon, which should pick up your StreetPass!

So far no hit on 34:08:04:BF:AC:8A.

The only that works for me is Root Browser (search for this in Play Store). :)
After you edit the .nvmac.info file inside the "data" folder with proper MAC, kepp only the "Read" fields checked, then save.
