So, im going on a potentially long trip - and i was considering getting a Mugen battery for my xl - but i ran across some external batteries for ipods n such that hold alot more charge, and are also alot cheaper O.o
so i was wondering if i got a usb charger for my 3ds, would it work with this?(also, if i got a usb charger for my ds lite would that work too?)

Im not really an electricity guy, so i dont want to buy it if it wont work.

I picked up an Anker Astro 3E 10000mAh (http://www.ianker.com/product/79ANS1052-BA) USB battery charger for when I went to comicon to keep my phone and 3DS charged (because who wouldn't have their 3DS at comicon)

And that can fully charge my Galaxy note 2 twice and my 3DS XL a couple times more. The only downside with charging off USB with a 3DS is how slow it is, you'll often find that you cant charge and play as the 3DS is using more power than you're putting in it.

So sleep mode or completely off is the way to charge. I paid £2 for a USB 3DS charging lead and I carry it with my 3DS all the time, good to charge at work for train home :D

Well worth the buy and its useful for more than just a 3DS. That one you linked would be perfect, 12000mAh is massive.
