Hacking PSN on CFW

Long story short. My old 60gb PS3 phat broke down (stupid YLOD) and I'm gonna replace it with a refurbished 120gb PS3 slim. I got the company to downgrade it to 3.55 so that I can install a CFW but I was wondering if there is any possible way for me to connect to my PSN account and re-download my games, saves etc. without updating. Thanks in advance! (and sorry if I'm asking a pretty obvious question). Cheers!

All you need to know, been using this for over a month with no ban.

Just to clarify you need to be on REBUG 4.30.2 (you have to download an update package with the latest spoof), and then enable REBUG Mode in REBUG Manager (or whatever they call it, it's one of the included packages that you can install from the HDD).

Get comfortable with the fact that CFW + PSN = Ban. It may come in a few days, it may come in a year or even a few but eventually you will get flagged and subsequently banned. No amount of stealth software will protect you entirely, there is always a chance that it will fail, be it after a PSN update or a firmware update. You could also stumble upon a game with a custom Online infrastructure like BlackOps 2 which will detect and ban you immediately since the software wasn't made to protect you from such measures (or requires an update to do so). Anyone who tells you otherwise just wasn't banned yet.

If you want your PSN account and its content safe (if you have any legitimate content or a PSPlus subscription) play on a second account if you really want to play pirated games online.

I didn't even log into my normal account because I have bought several games there. I'm using another account and I sync the trophies with the server twice a week, sooo, no online play for me. Sony gets really creepy at times. :/

The problem here is that PSN supports two kinds of bans - an account ban which renders the account unsuable and a hardware ban which flags the Console ID. After the second kind, there are several hoops one has to jump through to "unban" it before you can use even legit content on legit accounts and I personally find it not worth it unless you have two PS3's - one for legit games and one for the illegitimate content.
