You are wrong, afaik doesn't exist MIOS calls, the game itself handles all hardware access like disc reads, memory card access, controller polls etc.
Here it goes again. If it works well, must people argue over emulation, sandbox, virtualization? Personally I could not care less. Does me no good to know for sure. For me, I'd ask Marcan, Crediar, etc. The real pros. NO offense to anyone here.

Ha ha, nothing to do with emulation vs virtualization. Prove side effects and/or adverse reactions for you based on which one is used. Good joke.
Performance is the biggest concern. With virtualization you can run things at native speeds, whereas emulation often requires the emulating machine to be multiple times more powerful than the target.

Wii hardware is basically the same as Gamecube hardware, though the Wii has a bit more memory plus a few extra bits (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi). I'm not a programmer, but I imagine that some translation has to take place for GC games to run in Wii mode, though the basic hardware is already there, perhaps just configured somewhat differently.

How ironic coming from someone with a message count of 747 that just write nonsense, your thinking seems pathetic and ironic (no offense of course).

Of course ideally are that the professionals tell us about technical information but it is not bad that fools like us speak a little about these things to learn from each other the little we know.

I don't think anybody is really arguing (at least not to the point where it's getting out of hand), just discussing. Speaking for myself, at least, I just have a technical interest in this kind of thing ― I like to know how things work.

I also like to know how things work. There was a guy saying vWii could not be updated and some heavy hitters chimed in, such as Marcan and Megazig. This type of discussion derails threads and nobody wants to budge from their views. Lol, it is amusing to see though.

Man, if vWii could be updated and "lose wii hack" you think Crediar would be working on Nitendon't?
lol
Nintendo can update anything they want to update, and Marcan/Megazig explained this to the guy who began that thread. Anything worked on can have the door shut--how scenes work. 360 is a prime example. Jtag worked and everyone wanted to jump on that ship. THEN an update stopped it. People were then stuck for what felt like a year (did not track it exactly). THEN, the reset glitch hack was developed for the SLIM models and later proven to apply to all 360s. After that initial Jtag came out, MS went through hardware revisions, DVD drive revisions, update revisions, etc. As long as you were "in" and had the updates blocked you were safe. Wait for updates to be "cleaned up" and apply them manually.

CONSIDER though; Nintendo knows everyone has hacked vWii but no updates to block it? I would not worry about it being updated. Wii U side or something using vWii to actually hack the Wii U side (shown/used by others instead of being kept private) I would worry about. They may close up vWii hacks at that point and likely close Wii U holes. Crediar and anyone who tracks scenes KNOW this is always a risk.

That is my opinion also, just want to know how things work, actually I read a "lot" but I try to write only when I think I can bring something to the talk (my opinion) and that does not mean that I'm right, not my intention to upset anyone and in the end I think that is the purpose of forums like this.

Thanks for sharing. By hardware I bet this is Wii U GPU access from vWii. Project was to use 3 cores then Linux. From there possibly be told how to use Wii U ram. Then GPU for Wii U etc. Crediar did this himself, was given info by f0f, or Maxternal's 3 core project has made a lot of progress. Crediar said "hardware" in tweets so rvWii limited to Wii hardware. Marcan found a way (and/or others) to access Wii U hardware from vWii all beginning with racing attack outlined in his espresso blog. I am guessing. Probably 90% chance I am correct though.

By hardware , youll find hes referring to the new Capture card he has to capture the video he is presenting..

he also mentions he doesnt drink coffee , maybe his redundant perculator has been modded to add some additional vWii tricore functionality , what dya reckon ray ?

No clue, I saw the thread (thanks Truth)--Truth is very useful it seems. Anyway, I cannot code but I saw Maxternal went all "Maxternal" in that thread and referenced his 3 core work. THERE is a team of course but Maxternal began the project. I have no clue to be honest. If you have a specific answer he posted then that settles it;-) I don't usually track Crediar or tueidj. I usually read and refrain from posting on other sites.
