Hacking Neogamma says drive too new for DVD-R

DIOS MIOS is kinda cranky about what hard drives it works with, you might want to try another drive before just giving up on HDD loading.

Devolution seems to be much less picky about drives, but unless you have original GC discs to validate with, won't do you much good.

ok thanks ill give it a try, I dont often update my stuff so thats probably why. but for some reason in my usb loader gx when i click update it says mine is up to date but ill try the links.

Wiiflow is my loader of choice these days so I can't speak for how the usb loader gx update system works, but it probably only grabs latest version as listed on https://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/downloads/list which you can see has a date of May 2012. A lot has changed since then. Several new revisions of usbloader gx have come out since then, but for whatever reason they've chosen not to incorporate the changes into a new full release.

is there anyway to completely refresh my wii so its like i only just bought it and nothing happened so i can start over. then it wont seem like ive done something with the ios' or mios' in the past thats causing this mess that i could just fix and start playing GC Games

Just rehack it with modmii and tell it your Wii is virgin.

I know that it is an older revision, but the newest one didn't support booting from usb, if I remember right. The newest one only allowed you to play from SD card, or copy to sd card, then play it.

You mean like "Format System Memory" under settings? That should do it.

:| youd think id be smart enough to know that already. i mean completely reset it so its like i never messed with the ios' and mios' because that just deletes all the software off the console, not reset the whole ios', mios' and whatever else ive messed with. ive heared that taking the CMOS battery out would work? is this true cause i dont wanna accidently break something.

Run modmii and when it asks if the wii is stock say yes, right now hackmii.org isnt working right you'll have o download hackmii installer and bootmii from somewheres else (google) put them in the temp folder where modmii is installed and you should be all set.

Have you gone around to all local supermarkets asking them to ban the name "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" too? God forbid a young man or woman sees a word he may not fully understand, even when its usage is crucial to the instructions being provided.
