Chie's voice is different. Freaking high pitched, and more of a schoolgirl then a kick butt person. I don't usually care about voices, but god. My ears are bleeding.

Well, you get used to it, and she seems to get better as the game goes on. She becomes more subdued and sounds more like a...um...normal person. I do vastly prefer the original Chie, and when I started I couldn't stand the voice, but it gets better as you go.

Chie's new voice matches the character better. I hated how she sounded at first too, but then I got used to it and prefer it to the original (I still hate Teddy, though some hilarious shit goes down when he's in the mix). Although I never really liked her as a love interest, she makes a pretty great support character for physical personas when you keep Yukiko and Yosuke in the party 24/7. My next playthrough I'm jumping into hard mode and I'll be Dating Ai, Yukiko, and Rise and some other girl who catches my good side (likely Yumi since I like the Sun Arcana).

Just started playing Persona 4 weeaboo Golden and have to say that I love the game so far. Chie's voice actor is a bit annoying, but not really a deal breaker. The other voicing is fantastic. Gameplay wise I would say it's solid and continues the working formula of the SMT series. Only odd thing so far is the couple of times when I've received a Networking Error or something similar in the middle of the game (was playing in a public transport at the time). Apparently the event would have been some kind of social interaction..

Does anyone want to know my opinion of P4G?

Go ahead.

SPOILERS BELOW
As for me I hate what they did with Golden. They added a bunch of scenes NONE of which are important to the plot. They couldn't somehow tie it up, instead we get bunch of fillers that have absolutely no impact on the story or characters.
They also added Marie, one of the worst characters. She feels incredibly tacked on and her role in the story is "I don't remember who I am but it turns out I'm a "part" of final boss". That's bad plot device. Not to mention how everyone seems to know Marie and care for her and whatnot when she's barely present with the other members in your party.

I could go on more about the gameplay mechanics but that's usually not tied just to the P4 but whole SMT series.

I've never played the original Persona 4 or any other Persona games so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I think I read somewhere that the original didn't have Direct Control for the other characters? Which sounds like it'd be more difficult. (Ni No Kuni was HARD! Though it had real-time combat, so maybe it's not quite that comparable.)

Anyways I love this game! After I started playing P4G I pretty much haven't played much PC and "normal console" games. My save file is on something lik 87hours by now and I'm still not tired of it, unlike many other RPGs where the game ends up being massive grinding near the endgame.

But a friend asked me if I would recommend it, and I was saying something like it's really not like "normal" RPGs because there are lots of visual novel parts, so it's not certain that he would like it too. Heh. :P
