I would love to see Supercard make a flash card for the 3DS.
The Supercard is exactly that Super.
The Supercard is exactly that Super.
If the 3DS has an MMU (I say likely) then yeah we might see Linux on it with more support than the command-line-only UClinux versions that showed up on the DS and PSP.3DS, Flash Cart, etc.
http://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/Main_PageYay... Screw neimod and his stagnant hacking exploits. I waited 3 yrs for this sh!t!!
Crown3DS was real.Crown3DS was kind of a fake to me... In the video the only showed one game. It could easily be the game's cartridge hooked up to some cables and that's all.
Oh I just want them because I really like the silver model. I don't like blue and red XLs as much. HehehI hear you bro -_- I have the same problem too. EU/AU 3DS games are waaaay expensive than the US one.
Look at yourself before calling other people names.becuase your clearly an idiot
the 3DS isnt hacked, all these things to is just run the official code
without people having the Encryption Keys you cannot run or load anything different
so feel free to ask Nintendo for there encryption Key and then make such a thing
DS Flashcard and 3DS flashcards are not the same thing, the DS we have to key and can add our own stuff into it
without a 3DS hack we cannot, this is purely a method of loading bootleg downloads from a SD card
its like saying "why can we put like 10 different games on a Wii disc and expect them to load without a hack"
yes he is trutworthy, he is a olg ps3/360 guy who has contacts in other scenes too.I'm sorry if this has been posted already. A closer look at the video shows the person is using microSD cards considerably larger in capacity than the sizes of the 3DS rom dumps. At least two of them from what I seem to be able to read from the labels. The dump of Luigi's Mansion 2 is apparently only 1GB in size but I believe the microSD they're using for it says 2GB on the label. And Mario 3D Land's rom dump is only 512MB in size, yet the microSD card they're using to load it says 1GB. I can't see the label used for RE Revelations however so no clue to its size (the dump for the game however is 4GB in size).
If there's another explanation for this, i'll leave it to someone else. I don't know whether it's possible to do something to a microSD card to make it appear like it has less data than it does (like a formatting option or something). But just from the video it does appear that they have found SOME way of loading games onto non-matching sizes of microSD cards.
My wonder is whether that admin GaryOPA from other sites has extra legit info on the cart or whether he's just making stuff up. He said the makers were working on a launch menu that wasn't showcased in the video due to the video being older footage... Is he usually a legit and trustworthy source on such matters?
It's nice to read someone saying something which makes sense, every now and thena2) change between DS and 3DS mode - in DS mode you can run custom code to select a rom and store the selection
Look at yourself before calling other people names.
Your suggestions are ridiculous.
There is no need to run custom 3ds code to switch roms.
You could for example
a) use little mechanical switches on the side of the cart to (while taken out)
(see the write protect on fullsize SDcards)
a1) change roms - Three would already give eight rom slots (4 even 16 if needed)
a2) change between DS and 3DS mode - in DS mode you can run custom code to select a rom and store the selection
b) if the 3DS' module detection is electrical instead of mechanical (idk) - use something to simulate being disconected (eg Hi-Z state of tristate logic)
then you don't need to take out the module anymore and could
b1) use one or two buttons on the exposed side to cycle between roms or switch between DS/3DS
b2) start in DS mode by default and switch to 3DS mode for a single time when a rom was selected

I wonder how the game 's saves are handled
Maybe the chip component is emulated on the microSD ?
Why would I wand to add a second slot and save chip?i already stated earlier you could use a switch but the cart would need to be bulkier to accommodate a second MicroSD slot & Also another Save Chip would be needed
you cant just change between modes, you would have to also remove and re-insert the card while on the home menu
im sure they didnt do thisi hope they're stored inside the microSD card
otherwise, you could really play only one game at a time...
or maybe it stores multiple saves in the same chip?

A single one offers enough storage and the save can transfered to SD too. (after storage, see gba)
Yes, you need to disconnect. But I see no need to take out the cart for that.
Why do you think tristate would not work?
Its all you need if your interest is avoid spending a ridiculous amount on a Japanese 3DS just for that one or two Japan-exclusive 3DS games you couldn't import and play on the cheap. Not saying it's real... But where is the loader? One ROM per SD is a little impractical.
