I played Baten Kaitos Origins USA using CFG usbloader and wiiflow with DIOS MIOS.

When I save the game,it appears fine, but it displays save file is corrupt when load/save again.

have tried DM2.9/2.2 ,use real memory card,no NMM.(Baten Kaitos Origins stun saving when NMM is on)

The game ISO is fine,I played it when using disk under original Wii/GC channel.
I even unstall the DM to try using disk under original Wii/GC channel, but it doesn't work now.Is there some WAD to recovery the original GC's IOS?

I find RVL-mios-v10.wad and install it.problem soblem basicly. It seems that Baten Kaitos Origins USA have save file corrupt (and NMM as yet known) problem with DM.

DIOS MIOS is very helpful, hope new vertion will fix that.
now I use RVL-mios-v10.wad to play Baten 2 in disk by Wii Disk channel, and use DM 2.9.wad to play other GC games in USB drive by CFG loader.

next I will try PSO online III card revolution...

thanks Cyan,it's your answer in other post gets me the RVL-mios-v10.wad :)

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I tried not using a real GC card and enabled MMM without a gc card in the slot. it detects a memory card there but when i save the game freezes.

IDK, like I said, I'll look into it when I have time. I haven't heard anyone having issues with origins, I hear the other Baten Kaitos game has saving issues though, according to the OFFICIAL DM COMPATIBILITY LIST.

I can vouch for Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings having save issues. I'm going to upgrade to 2.10 and see if that fixes it, since apparently that's re-fixed things that 2.9 broke.

geez, how long do you have to play before you can save? XD I'll have to get back to ya on this one.

just skip all the dialog in the intro. should only take 20 minutes tops. once you wake up in he village skip the dialog and go outside. you'll see a big blue plant. thats the first save point.

Seems to be happening on 2.6 and 2.8 as well. To be clear when loading a saved game it will state the a corruption of the save file. DO NOT delete your save when prompted as isn't corrupted. Any new saves you might attempt to create on different slots will be corrupted.

So it's not actually corrupted but it just isn't being read properly? Does that mean that if we found a version of DM(L) that did work properly that it would read the file that we're currently seeing as corrupted?

Seems 2.2 has the same issue. On all versions you can get it to load the game. just say no when it asks to delete corrupt saves. then attempt to load the save again and it should load.

I'll note that the save was originally made with a disc version of the game. DMIOS still sees it as corrupted even though its not and will load.

I'm not quite sure I understand it. When I try to load a corrupt file, it asks me if I wish to delete it. If I say 'no', then the corrupt file is still there. If I try to load it again, it again asks me to delete it. Feels like a stalemate.

By now.baten can only be played with RVL-mios-v10.wad on DVD.
The DM has problem with saving.it takes only 2~3 seconds to save, and gets corrupted save file. With RVL-mios-v10.wad,it takes about 5 seconds to save, and that save file is good, even DM can load the save file.but still can't get to save correctly.
So,wait for the new DM to play baten on HDD,or play it on DVD.(Both memory card required)
