I have an asus and no corruption, the blue light goes out when I safely remove. It's about 4 years old though.

As far as I can tell from reading, people have been able to reformat in windows (FAT16) but I haven't experienced this myself.

Does the corruption mean permanent damage though or just reformatting the g6 lite?

Most cases are not bricked. They are indeed recoverable.

That's true - stuffed one of mine last night - had to reformat using Fat16 - which at first I could not do as the card was reporting two devices in Explorer and refusing to access either of them - two system reboots allowed a Fat 16 reboot and then a G6 reformat - which takes ages - and then you have to FAT16 format it again - works though

No idea why it corrupted - following all good guidelines - it just refused to menu on the G6lite

Another question to people that got their card corrupted:

Did you deleted your PDA and/or EMU folders ????

Because, I just read it in other forum:

"It seems people who formated, or deleted the PDA, and EMU folders and just wanted the G6 Lite for gaming, seems to be the ones experiencing the most problems when running games. So far from what I have read, people who have left the PDA, EMU, and everything at its default has not had any problems."

Same here, deleted those folders. Although, I've only had the G6L for some days. That beeing said, I've had it plugged in/unplugged in my computer several times, and both transfered and deleted roms, and absolutely no problems at all!
