This has quickly become one of my favourite games. However, I have foound that I am met with freeze-ups the first 2-3 times I try to get it going (after that it runs and saves fine). I have tried DoFAT, SafeMode, Trimmed and Un-trimmed and every combination of the parameters I can think of.

The Freez-ups usually happen right before loading a song and often result in the audio freezing up (ie: Helloo, how are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuubbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz). Since the rom is a full 523 Mbits, I figure these problems must have to do with the gigantic song files it's loaded with and the write speed of said files. Just a guess though.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar problems with this amazingly fun title.

I am obsessed with this game only I am not all that great at it. I finished the easy level and am on Ready Set Go (I think that is the last song's name but I may be wrong. maybe it is ready steady go.) so I am one away from finishing the last level on normal. I have put at least 6 hours or more on this and have not run into any problems with it. I have it on my G6 lite right now and just put it on with the default U-Disk settings. You may try to find a different dump of the game? Maybe yours is just a little corrupt? Wish I could be more help.

Had you seen the Forum sub-board you'd see it's a G6.

Update your loader to 4.2B and freezing will disappear.

also may want to check the version of U-Disk Manager as that does the Rom patching. If you update that just remember to back up your save if you are pretty far in the game, delete the rom off the card and then reload it with the new version of U-Disk.

ive been playing this game since I got my G6 lite and have had 0 problems. I'm on RSG on insane(girls). Haven't played it in awhile though

Damn, I really need to get better at it. When to the girls arrive? after normal or after hard? They may be a reason enough to keep playing. as I said, I am on RSG normal and that is pretty hard for me. More practice I guess.

goodness.. i been trying to play this game with no success. am i playing it wrong?? don't you just have to tap the numbers?? I keep getting big X when i tap.

Man, I love this game so much, possibly too much. I'm about half way through hard mode, didn't bother with easy mode. RSG on normal kicked my ass for a while so I'm kinda nervous about hard mode of it. But hard mode is a lot more fun than normal mode.

edit: I'm using default settings and loader 4.2 methinks, I'll check when I'm done playin Ouendan

I just LOVE this game too! It was worth buying the G6 Lite alone just to discover it! I've put hours on hours into it (12th level of normal) and never had a problem, except when I updated to 4.2a and then it locked up...

GREAT GAME!

EDIT: Thought I would add I trim mine and it lists as 512Mb on the G6.

Holy Jeeze, I just now noticed that the softwar was updated on Saturday?! Haha, I got my G6 2 days before that, did the updates, and didn't even think of checking back. I hope their patching stays this rediculously current!

Works fine for me. DoFat, trim (even though it barely does anything), soft reset all enabled. Using 4.2B loader.

And indeed, it is quite a fine game. I've only had my G6 Lite for about a day but I've already put at least 6 hours or so into it.

Seems like DDR, but there are no carts out there with english variants of popsongs instead of Japanese?

    Thing is , the videos work fine in the Edge Dev and Canary builds. But whatever the fix they made was, has never been pushed to Beta or Stable builds. Its been that way for as far back as I tested. Which was Edge 84. They are on 125 now.
