Hiya all.

I found this forum after searching the net for info on a flashkit for the DS lite. I have been hearing storys of people playing ROMs flashed to a SD card. The thing is im a complete noob when it comes to anythign about the DS (only had it 3 days).

Anyone give me advice on what I should be buying? I would really like somehting thats a good all rounder, Can play Scumvm games like monkey island etc and also play GBA and DS games. Any help on this would be most helpful as like I said Im a complete noob and really dont want to just rush out and buysomething thats not much good.

Also whats the average size of a DS ROM? if there like 500 megs im guessing you cant store much on the cards?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Get a G6 Lite with a passcard 3 from www.winsunx.com and you can play snes gba nds sega and much more roms. Has 512 megabytes of built in memory and fits into the dslite perfectly. Most ds games are between 10-60 megs.

If you want to do homebrew on the DS then you won't want a G6 Lite.

Pick up a SuperCard Lite, SuperKey, and a microSD and you'll be set! You can play all your fav GBA, DS, and homebrew games and apps in no time! Not to mention SuperCard is the cheapest flashcart solution out there! And with the SuperCard over the G6 you can go as big as 2GB with microSD while the G6 Lite only has 512MB!

http://www.RealHotStuff.com

Both of the above stores are very reliable and have great bundle deals and prices!

Enjoy,

Find and read real reviews of the cards rather than believe what people tell you on forums. Most people just promote the cart they own and try to make the others look bad.

/me cracks up at owners promo-ing their own cart.

g6 Lite seems to be high quality, good menu and perfect/exact fit

SC lite has removable SD storage, solid/high compatability, (what i am getting).

I was close to g6 lite, if i were to use it just for games id get one. I want memory for video too = SCL

w3rd up.

Hi Andayle

Here's my (very little) experience about NDS. I bought one for my 6 years old son to play games with. And buying too many games to him will ruin me very quick. So i searched a kit just for playing games with. And I bought Supercard SD and a memory SD card with 1gb (just like one you buy to your Digi-cam's). And now he is happy, I am happy and my wife is happy for not spending too much money for games

. He can play both GBA & NDS games now. Most GBA games needs 8-16mb of space while NDS needs 32-128mb. (its good information when you choose which SD-memorysize to buy)
So if its just games you want it too... then Supercard is enough with either 512mb or 1gb memcard. Good luck!

So the super card used normal memory crads like camara's and even the ones that fit psp's? If so that sounds like the noe for me as im an amature photographer and have a around 8 memory cards of various sized laying around.

Many thanks to all those who replied

Yes, It uses normal SD-cards. I have one like this one http://www.netonnet.se/index.asp?iid=66302 and 3 pc's of 128mb's. The same for psp's.
And you can buy Supercard from this site http://shop.01media.com Uk or Sweden (i did, but from the swedish one ofcourse). Good luck and hope you will have phun.
You need the superpass to play NDS games. And you must specify if you want SuperCard SD or SuperCard CFA version.
