What's the cheapest place to get a Black NDSLite? Also I want it to get reasonable shipping. I was thinking of Liksang but they want to much for one also I forget which one is for the US 110V or 220V?

If you get the japanese dsl i do believe that you can use the same adapter. If you go with a European one you'll have to get the US adapter which is only another 10 bucks, methinks.

It is the adapter that kept me from buying a European one, instead I bought my DSL from costco with the intention of returning it if they release another color prior to the holiday season.

You can buy from www.mobilemagic.hk , they have the black ds lite for the price that it is being sold in europe and they have cheap airmail shipping for like 10$. And they accept paypal. The european black ds lites will hve 220V power adapter, but you can aslo wait till september when those japanese guys get the Jet black ds lite with 110V power outlet.

There are some on ebay going for $139 - $149 ish.

If you already have an NDS, you could always buy the black shell replacement.

If I were you though, I'd get an NDS Lite instead.

All the ds/gba chargers output the same voltage 5.2V, you just need one that will fit with the 2pin 110V plug sockets from your country. I imported an American ds but i charge it up with a (UK 230V 3pin) gba sp charger, works just fine.

fatfree, could you care to elaborate on that black shell replacement thing?

Where can I get one? I'm guessing from Nintendo themselves? How different is it from the authentic jet black model? (i.e. Does it replace everything or just part of the shell?)

Check this out...

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?q...rty=MetaEndSort

About $15 shipped. It seems to just replace the shell since the regular DS buttons are already black. I heard someone got this, and they kept the original black bottom because it was of better quality, and was blacker. Heard that they were satisfied with it.

It's not jet black, but rather graphite black. I don't think Nintendo sells replacement parts for any system. Replacement parts are usually 3rd party.

Ah, I was under the impression that the shell replacement in question is for the NDS Lite. With all the fuss about "only polar white" available in the states and all...

You know.. this thread is getting confusing. Konamix said "NDS", but other people are saying DS Lite, so I dunno which is being actually talked about now..... hmmmm

Actually those shells do come with everything (including buttons, back sticker, Nintendo logo, shell itself, and looks like even a new cover for the top screen) but the DS itself and the touch screen layer that covers the bottom LCD screen.

My bad I meant DSLite. The thing is, I would order from ebay but my momma has this thing about buy elelctronics off ebay. Also I heard that Paypal is a bitch to work with. How about this, is there ever gonna be a release date for the US one or will I have to order that one from Liksang or Yohogames when it releases?

PayPal difficult to work with? It's probably the easiest way to pay, and also the easiest way to recover from disputes.

#1. PayPal is instant payment which means you get your stuff faster.
#2. If you don't get your item, you could always dispute on the PayPal site, and they most likely will refund your money back, even if the other guy doesn't.

I've had 3 disputes place before with a seller, and got all my money back. One was $500, $250, and $50.
