Well, I'm getting a G6 Lite then.

Martin, I have noticed your posts before back when I was doing research trying to pick out my flash card. You seem to have too problems:

1. Your overly critical.
2. Your overly cautious.

Theres nothing wrong with being both. In fact, your only trying to protect yourself from getting screwed. But all of the discrepancies that I have seen you have with the cart aren't really that much of a big deal at all, and you are taking it way out of context.

The G6 Lite itself is a fine product, you won't have any problems with the GBA shell. The only way you could break it is if you apply excessive force, and it's your fault if you are that rough with it to the point that it snaps. The actual shell itself is supposed to protect the delicate innards, you'd have to have Hulk fingers to break it in two.

Instead of being so hard on the G6 Lite, you should be more critical and cautious in regards to where you'll be making your purchase. After all, they will the be ones supplying the G6 to you. If you are willing to put up with the price, Gamersection is a great place to go that currently has them in stock. However, Chinese and English versions are only different with the language, otherwise it's basically the same product. If English versions get inflated prices in the future, I'm sure you'd know which route to take.

Weej,

I purchased a Chinese version but it came with the 2 colored covers. Is it possible you received one of those "trial" versions? Is the box printed all in Chinese as well?

I'm wondering about the G6L when you have it in the burner connected to the PC, you can't just remove the cart from the burner, you have to remove the whole burner first? Is that so, or else it corrupts the card?

It's not fixed in the final english version?

I put the cart in the burner, then connect the burner to my PC, then flash then remove burner then cart.

@Pelago I will test GBA games on my next format to see if your correct. (Havent loaded a GBA game in a while)

Or else.. corruption?

I have another Q, how about writingspeed, how long does it take to, let's say fill the cart with roms (like 500mbytes), I hear it takes very long

I have never had corruption and only load my roms one way as described above....not sure if taking the cart of the burner while hooked up = corruption. Don't really feel like trying to create the error. My guess is seriously that people are disconnecting while the lights is blinking

Yes, the box is printed in chinese. I'm pretty sure I didn't receive a trial, it looks like the final build version.

Gambia, The
Very stupid question, but it will work with a classic obese DS, won´t it?

EDIT: It is a very stupid question indeed, since there is a regular sized GBA shell included, still, I am a very careful person

I got a question too, is there a downside when you put xxx.zip files in the G6 lite to run game? Or is it better to just put the .nds and/or .gba file in.

Sorry, but as of now, G6 Lite doesn't support dumping your own games.

OH YES IT DOES!!

I just made a clean dump of my Castlevania DOS cart using "dumper.nds". I then verified it worked by 1) REMOVING the cart from the DS slot, 2) copying the file to my HDD (and deleting it from the G6L) and then patching it with the Udisk patcher (this is REQUIRED) to write it back to the g6.

The game worked perfectly.

You can't dump GBA games, though....

The correct md5sum for the file (to make sure you get the right file and not a bricker or somethiing) is
d6debbf54eaa6f8484dbd108d456a06d

59,848 bytes.

Hey that is interesting, I wonder if I can dump my Meteos and find out if the audio distortion problem goes away...

Hmmm now if I could only find this dumper.nds online.
