I have freezes when I try to challenge Mew and when I want to get the Icicle Plate from the Sinjoh Ruins.
I use DSTWO and Sacred Gold 1.05.
Anyone knows the source of these problems?

So after getting the medicine to ampharos, I got a call for the safari zone, but all the rocket grunts their act as if I've already beat them. This was fine at first, only until I realized that there was a double battle outside of the initial cave that I couldn't fight. The rocket grunts just stand there and say nothing, while the girl with the alakazam just tells me to move on (as if I've already won). That's impossible, however, because I can't walk past the grunts blocking the bridge.

I read through the entire thread with no similar instances, so i'm guessing this isn't a common bug... but is there actually anything I can do in this situation to move on? If I don't need the safari zone then I can skip it, I guess... but theres a grunt in front of Olivine's gym that won't let me in.

And I'm playing on a r4 without action replay capabilities, so the walk through walls code isn't an option.

Have you talked to the rock outside a cave entrance?

Hello! I'm having some trouble, after patching the clean rom and adding it to my flashcart, i was able to start the game, however it blackscreens after prof oak stops talking. Any chance you can give me a fix? Thanks.

i played this hack on my R4 as well a while back and it worked perfectly i even finished it twice so if you did the patching yourself make sure you did everything right, make sure your R4 is updated is all that i can tell you buddy.

Can someone please help me!?!?! I got the latest download and tansfered it to my EDGE chip and after my guy shrinks down it's just a black screen but the music stays on... i dont think i have patched it properly (or not at all) so could someone explain how to do that too please? Im just really new to this.

BTW on emulator this is the best hack i've ever used...everything just fits in so nicely.

EDIT; Oh i also found a bug and a way to fix it...when you make your way up to the first town (near where Idol Carly is) my game bugged, none the the sprites showed they were just square blue boxes. and the top screen went black after you battled once with the boxes. To fix it you need to save normally as if it wasn't an emulator and restart the game and load the normal save, it should then work.
If someone already found that out sorry for wasting your time

Before I begin, I want to say that these hacks are really keeping me in the pokemon mood. I played through Blaze Black and started Sacred Gold.

I am having an issue similar to the above case, combined with another issue. I noticed the above issue first: At random instances of the game the sprites turn into screwy pixels (my squirtle following me looked like a devilish marill), and then upon a screen change, my top screen remains black and the sound is turned off (I first encountered this when I had Eevee following me into Mr. Pokemon's house, and recurred ever since).

I figured out that I can just do an in-game save and reset the game, which refreshes the game. However, I think I messed my ROM up with an action replay code (The Instant message one that warned me to not leave it on). Basically, every time I boot the game, it doesn't actually boot. In other words, it's frozen until I load my state and click the "Play/Pause" button.

I'm not phazed by this part either since I can still load state. The real piss-off is that I can't fix the first issue anymore due to the game not loading back up (I've turned the AR codes off as well). So whenever my sprites are screwed up, I have to reload state. The moment I encountered this issue I lost some progress (rather minimal, but annoying)

Now is there something I can actually do (like Repatch the ROM or try soul silver) or do I have to save state every so often? I have only gotten to Azuela town and don't want to risk losing progress multiple times for my playthrough. For any clarification, I'm trying to play Sacred Gold "Complete" on DeSmuME 0.9.8 x86.

I would appreciate all the help I can get. In the meantime, I'll be playing the Blaze Black postgame.

The part about the sprites becoming all weird is a glitch in DeSmuME. It happens even when playing the original HeartGold. As for the save state issue, Have you tried using another HeartGold rom and patching it? You could save in-game, create the second Sacred Gold ROM and use the previous save to load it up, then try save-stating.

I'm having the same problem these two are having. Intro to the game, Professor Oak speaks, name entry, then black screen with music and the game doesn't proceed any further. This only occurs when playing the game on a flashcart. It works just fine in no$gba. The flashcart I'm using is a cyclods evolution.

I've considered it, but would be a real hassle if I would have to do that repeatedly. I think the 2nd issue was from leaving the "instant message" code on, and it screwed up every time I tried booting the game. I could probably start fresh again and just play w/o that code.

I'll probably get back to it after a run through BB2. Thanks for the help though.

You wouldn't need to start fresh, as long as you get the .sav file. Also, I do think the instant message code messes with patched roms. Why not just use the speed up hot key? It's under hotkey config.
