Mine would have to be the secret room on LoZ Link to the past, the secret room, another one would have to super mario bros 3 when you could crouch behind the white platform thing and you can run behind the end part and get a whistle. Oh and the easter egg on black ops 1 zombies with the teddy bear cause that song was awesome :)
EDIT* The music on black ops 1 was with the green glasses and the teddy bears had the knife and perks and you had to shoot them with an upgraded weapon, also there was a button you could shoot that would send power ups spinning and flying not sure what it did but yeah

In the beginning of phantasy star III the king will send you to the dungeon/prison. If you use an escapipe while in the dungeon, no one will talk to you except for the king. He says "You used an Escapipe! Normally a smart move, but now you can't continue. Please
restart the game."

My entry would have to be the hidden Snail Maze game that was built into the SMS, it was removed when the second model came out and it was never released on a cart. Lucky enough I still have my original SMS power base and every now and again I play it.

For those who don't know about this trick here's how it works:

Power up your Sega Master System (without a game in it) after the boot screen it will prompt you to insert a game etc etc. At this time hold Up, 1 and 2 until the game appears ^_^

I quite enjoyed the Secret Cow World in Diablo II. Many fun times were had and many lives (and gold) were lost.

I also liked getting to Whimseyshire in Diablo III, with the Cow King telling you there is no Cow Level.

mine would be the credits that programmer Warren Robinett snuck into Adventure for the Atari 2600. this was a time when coders were not allowed to associate themselves with their work, so Robinett got sneaky and linked his name with his work in a hidden room. this one is widely believed to be the first video game easter egg.

1. Get the bridge
2. Take it inside the black castle
3. Find the central room that causes the screen to flicker. You must have an object with you to see the flicker, as it takes 3 game sprites to cause flicker (you, the "dot" and the 3rd object, in this case the bridge)
4. Use the bridge to get into the secret chamber in the middle of that room
5. Inside that the secret chamber there is a "dot" -- pick it up by pressing into the lower right corner of the chamber.
6. Take the dot to the main hallway (below the golden castle)
7. Once there the dot will cause one of the hallway barriers to disappear. Note that you need to have another object in the room (key, sword, duck, etc.) to make the barrier disappear. You also usually have to have the "dot" in front of you to go through.
8. You can then enter a hidden chamber that lists a message from the programmers
9. (This game is from the 1985 era but it still contains an Easter egg)
10. There is also a secret room in the white castle that requires the use of the bridge
11. Bonus egg, you can change the "Winning music" by hitting the select lever after your drag the chalise through the yellow castle door.

The Metal Gear Solid 3 Ape Escape minigame and the Metal Gear / Monster Hunter Hunter crossovers were fun, time-waster easter eggs.

Pony Fart Cannon in Red Faction. You have to go through hoops to get it, and once you do it can be used to turn enemies into cute little rainbows.

My favourite is getting the ghost that chases you in Spelunky on XBLA to pose and make a kissy face if you use the Camera item on it.
