It happens to me when I access the website using an iPad, its not something to be seen since its the "family's" iPad.

the popup ads can't be because of GBAtemp. I'm pretty sure it's an issue on your end... why?
because we switched to Google Adsense about a month ago, Google don't do that sort of thing (not that I know of).
I would be surprised if they did. This has never happened to me.

@mezut360: do you mean recently? or in the past? I know we had issues in the past but it changed when we switched to Google adsense.

If your getting strange ads as soon as you open your browser then your homepage in your browser options has been hijacked and in most cases easily fixed by changing it back to the default option...

I've been getting warnings from this site which appear to originate from an image at Funnyjunk. I'm not sure if this is related to the issue you're having.
that's possible, but it's an entirely different and unrelated issue.
people may link to images from such sites directly from posts or signatures, this has happened before.
we remove those images when we find them.

also no matter what Pong203000 said, I don't think Google actually do popup ads? it should be just banners really. I could be wrong, but I would be surprised if Google did unauthorized popup ads

I saw one involving something like "join a roman orgy, click here!" with a scantily clad woman earlier today.
I'm pretty sure I've never looked at roman orgy sites before (not even anything 18+, on this computer at least :creep: ), but oh well. Most of the time the ads are relevant, like in a thread involving Netflix, the ad was for Netflix.

you never know what your dad (or your mom) is into.

also, are you talking about a popup or a regular banner?

I was getting this as well. I messaged P1ng about it and we tried to look for what was causing it but couldn't find anything :/
