You can maybee overwrite the ios 56, 57 ,58 with the old cios installer that required the wads to install.
Same for the ios236, only IF you used that one.
But do some research and read the sticky`s, i don`t want to point you to a brick.

I'm still leaning more towards a corrupt system file and/or hardware(though if wii u games work most likely software). Not saying you necessarily did anything wrong (possible bad update from nintendo) but the fact you can't really prove whether or not the issue existed prior to modding makes it hard to narrow down. Again because an original disc causes the freeze, it makes me think it's not cIOS related (unless you messed with original system files). Your best course of action may be to contact Nintendo, unfortunately you've most likely voided your warranty by doing the softmod, and whether or not they will fix it (for free or charge) is up to them

The cost for reparing are pritty high.
I can remember reading that someone returned it, and got a bill arround 300 euro`s but did not had to pay it because of warranty.
And Zilzo voided his warranty, than you would be almost better off buying a new console.
