Hey All,
I just received a new DSTwo from Real Hot Stuff after the one I previously had stopped working completely after a month (it wouldn't show up on my 3DS screen at all). The replacement, which is running firmware 1.18, will only launch if I turn on my 3DS with the card in it, and select the card as soon as the menu will let me (Alex Rider icon). If I wait for the 3DS to finish loading all the icons from the SD card, or insert the supercard later, I get the dreaded "An error has occurred. Press and hold the power button to turn the system off" message. The oddest part is if I use the home button to get to the home menu after successfully loading the Supercard, the home menu thinks there's no card inserted.
I've tried two different Micro-SD cards and reformatted them both with sdformatter, re-copied EOS, and tried installing today's firmware 1.19 (and downgrading back to 1.18 when nothing changed). Nothing seems to make a difference. My 3DS is on firmware 4.4.0, and works fine with an R4i Gold 3DS. I never experienced this on my previous Supercard, although admittedly I can still use this one so it's not a dealbreaker. It's just weird. I unfortunately don't have a different DS to try, I'm curious to see what would happen.
Any ideas what's happening, or what I could try to fix it?
