If the iEVO was such a benchmark cart, why did TC abandon it?

It seems strange to me that a team develops such a cart then abandons it and yet if it was such a great cart with support it would of sold loads more.

Or am i missing something?

Possibly lack of funds. Or finally Nintendo got 'em.

Good idea but don't forget to ask them for EDGE and iEDGE sourcecode as it was their products.
There's a good chance that, being made by the same people, the cards are similar enough that the iEVO source would work on the iEDGE.

Or they couldn't be arsed playing cat and mouse; they sold enough cards but the prospect of selling a few more wasn't motivation enough to keep working on it.

I wonder if spending the last 10 minutes typing heartfelt emails has a point or not
I just hope this is successful

well, I have the cyclods evolution, not ievolution, and probably I won't buy another flashcard, but I'll send a mail anyway.

edit: nevermind, problem solved.

If we're gonna spam them, we might as well make an email template, where you just have to fill in your name and hit the 'send'-button.
I think it would set the bar a lot lower for most people, since it takes less time to do and most people are lazy by default.

Why not? It only takes 5 minutes to send an email.

Interestingly, it appears the http://cyclods.wikidot.com/ site is still somewhat active...
That's an independent site created by one of the moderators.

I knew it was independent, but it was kind of wilting away...

That "administrator" guy was banned after 2 posts... Surprised moderators are still on the forums...

Yeah, this means someone is listening, this is very important. This guy could know a lot of things.... I hope that if their is a tech team still around, they actually give us a moment of their time.

i've asked to get in touch with their tech team in the past and they always have told me that they will forward questions on my behalf. this is how it worked for the ievo review.

i just sent a reply asking for more direct contact. i stated, again, how important it is for the community to receive the source code.

everyone keep sending emails or whatever. i'll remain optimistic until the domain expires.

I may not own the card, but I have been sending them emails as well.
I don't want to see this become another DS-X!
Don't let up on them people! Don't let them of a moment of peace until they release their source!

So we have roughly two months to convince them. I can't help but wonder if anyone in possession of the source code is even around to hear our plea.

The On-going Cyclops Forum Discussion is now a sticky ... so ...please.... don't spam the forums it won't help... the (poor) moderators ;-)

Since we have no news from Evolution for a long time now I just hope he is fine. There is zero activity in the staff forum.

The site is till online so we can at least expect a comeback like in the past ... I doubt they will release the sources ... but who knows ^^
