That's the same message mate.
I doubt you're using original discs though - because Japanese companies are extremely "release date" conscious and the game would not arrive to wherever you are in less than 24 hours.
You're probably using scene releases that you've downloaded.

it could be throwing you the error because your not on 4.3J

Pong - I've wondered about that actually .. I downgraded from 4.3J to the hacked 4.1J and can't remember for the life of me how to go back to 4.3J - is it possible? And if so, can I revert to 4.1J if it doesn't work?

I've tried with revs 6, 7, 8 and also 9.

im sure you can use modmii and that will give you the files
could you not upgrade to 4.1j officially then rehack?

I'm a bit paranoid about messing with firmware updates after what ended up happening with the PS3.
I might give it a try.

wth....i downloaded firmware updater 4.3b....aftger i download everything and install, i have another 2 weather and news channles and my firmware is stil on 4.1j. I want a clean 4.3b update....when i try to install it via wii system settings, it didn´t allow me to do this....please help. I need to play DQ X. How can i remove wii homebrew and install a clean firmware?

You don't need to remove hacks to play games
You can't play backups with hacks
4.1 is better than 4.3
The System Menu is not firmware, despite the name of that app
You should stay away from any of Wanin's updater apps

to update your wii i would recommend installing

IOS80v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
and
SystemMenu_4.3J_v512.wad

and if using usb loader install
USBLoader(s)-ahbprot58-SD-USB-v12-IDCL.wad
(require to have USBLoader(s)-ahbprot58-SD-USB-v12-IDCL-Forwarder Paths.txt also)

i have "just dance wii 2" and it works totally fine, when i start it from disc.....DQX is not working. Screen is black and wiimote is shutting down.
I can´t do a original update....wii does not allow me to do this

to update your wii i would recommend installing

IOS80v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
and

Just rehack your Wii completely with ModMii, since you've likely screwed something up with Wanin's "Firmware" Updater.

to update your wii i would recommend installing

it has everything
google is your friend also

ModMii is having some google banning problems at the moment also so if any files say failed you can message XFlak in the ModMii thread and im sure he can create you a dwonload for them

If the original disc doesn't work chances are that you did some hackery to prevent updates and due that the required IOS59 is not installed.

IOS59 rev6689 is needed as it is what is used for the USB/HDD memory storage and keyboard

commands in the IOS59
-LEDs on USB Keyboard now turned off
-Attach device with USB2.0
-Attach device with USB1.1
-Attach device with USB1.0
-Can't open USB-Ethernet

2ch mention 4.3 and ios59 are required

In regards to IOS59 - the version on DQX is actually IOS59-64-v7201 ripped myself from the iso.
v6689 is from the beta test discs - although the USB functionality on both is more than likely very similar.
There is about a 5kb difference in size between them.

ha... it´s working. After i change the preloader settings (enable online or disc updates)...the original disc showed me an update. After i installed it...it worked ^^....i´m installing the game now yaay http://postimage.org/image/4uyirp0mb/

The above app doesn't offer the version patch, for that you can use the mod of patchIOS.exe (which is a cmd-line tool) that is bundled in ModMii's Support folder.

But yea, I don't know what you hope to accomplish my patching IOS59... patching IOSs doesn't necessarily make them better

Pong - what do you mean about not being able to use backup loaders due to IOS249 being removed ?
Will the update definitely remove it? And if so, can it not be re-installed by going through the same softmod process all over again?
