Every time i attempt to battle pryce it goes to his monologue and his picture then the screen turns white and stays white. Any help?
First time I've heard of that problem... I don't think I can help with that. :x
Hello I am having a problem I defeated chuck I took the medicine to olivine then got a phone call stating the safari Zone was open.

I saw this was mentioned before but I guess I am meant to fight 2 guys with Riley and it just says stand by me.

This is outside the safari zone building and also all the people fro the safari zone are here is Riley and the rocket members not supposed to be here :/ Am I missing something

A friend has not had any problems with this at all

also I also had the ecruteak girl problem
This is a problem with flags that occured in the first version now and then; if your version is high enough (1.03+) then there should be someone in Olivine's Pokemon Center who can fix it. Otherwise, you'll need to upgrade.

I present to you guys another one of my insane ideas; what is your opinion on having Kanto BEFORE you battle the Elite Four for the first time?

I was thinking it'd be a redirection thing; after you get to the gatehouse from Routes 27/26, you instead turn right, collect another eight badges and then return from the first round E4.

The result might make Kanto more fun since there's more of a point to it, but there's also a potential issue with the levels since I'd have to cut things down a fair bit to stop things getting too ridiculous. At least, I think? Potentially not... I dunno, but yeah. What do you guys think?

Oh, and I don't think it'd have too much of an effect on development time.
It would be quite interesting to make it that you have to have 16 badges instead of 8 to go into the pokemon league and the elite 4 and champion have higher levels. But thats just my opinion.

That might be worth doing, since right now the purpose of the Kanto gyms is basically to unlock Mt. Silver and some legendary stuff. I think if you did the Kanto gyms first the game would flow better, although the idea of getting to battle the Elite Four twice was a cool challenge, and the lower level E4 provides some good training for those Pokemon you want to raise up from a low level.

Obviously this wouldn't come until after the next update anyway. maybe we can vote on your two ideas then (changing gyms as well as the 16 badge idea)? Poll maybe?

Also, I have another fishing bug I might have found. Whenever I fished on Route 40 (outside Olivine) with the Super Rod, I got Krabby and Kingler at a high of L40 multiple times, and the documentation says they aren't supposed to be there. I got the missingno, too, but the Krabby/Kingler is the main thing. I am using the latest version (1.05).

Well, I was actually considering putting the moved Kanto thing into the next update. I don't think I'd need to change all that much to get it working, so it would be perfectly possible to do so. All I really need to do is block off Victory Road for a bit, possibly change some things with Silver/the rival's events and that's about it.

I heard about the wrong encounter list, yeah, it's been fixed for the next version I think.

Oh.

Do you have any kind of time frame for when the next patch will be released?

Good, good :3

Okay, turns out the Route 47 bug... is actually very easy to fix. You wouldn't think "CloseMsgOnKeyPress" would be such a problematic command, but it is when it's in the wrong place o__o; I do apologise, it's a simple error but hard to catch.

Okay, so I recently started a game on Storm Silver and caught a Ledyba. thing is, it's Special Attack is higher than it's Attack, even though the Attack IV is higher. Can you make sure that the BS changes are there, or how can I check that?

I did deposit him in the PC and withdraw, and it didn't change...

I know I asked earlier if Strength could be obtainable earlier. I also would like to see the Amulet Coin handed out earlier too, as that is a very useful item early in the game - not so much later. Any chance of that, Dray?

and why can't Stunky/Skuntank learn Pursuit or Crunch by level up? they have a dearth of Dark type moves until really late...those moves are egg moves too.

and one final observation: the first trade in the game is a Rhyhorn for Gligar, but Rhyhorn isn't available until after Union Cave. Maybe you should have a Pokemon from Dark Cave or something there instead of Rhyhorn - maybe Bronzor or Sandshrew?

First off, this hack looks awesome...

Just wondering if the endgame training is as boring as it is in heart gold or if there are other training methods or anything.
Aftually this hack brought back my interest in heart gold but then i remembered how boring leveling up gets at higher levels (since heart gold doesnt have stuff like vs seeker or shaking grass) , so im wondering if it gets any better in sacred gold

Ive looked around other pages in the Post but i couldnt find anything about this, sorry if its mentioned on a page i didnt read!

Doing the Kanto gyms first would be interesting, because the Kanto gyms aren't supposed to have stronger Pokémon than the Elite Four! But, on the other hand, I'm a purist... One of the reasons I enjoy this hack is because it's a beefed up HGSS and changing too much would kind of spoil the fun to me.

So, Dray, I know it's already pushing it with the Complete and Classic versions, but could you include gym leader differences and "Kanto first" features only in a different version? Or perhaps only in the Complete version? I don't know if it's easy nor possible to do it, though.

I started it with 1.05 .. so I will not have any problem with her. That's good.

I'm now going to Cianwood, and using R4 clone (I think :P) .. till now no issue. :D
You'll run into some issues during Kanto on an R4. Specifically
-Make sure you play on an emulator when you go into the Pokefan's house in Vermillion City, or else the Steven glitch will happen when you leave and you won't be able to trigger that event at all on your R4

-When you find Mew in Viridian Forest, save and chase it down on an emulator or else Mew will freeze the game on an R4

-When Cynthia invites you into the Sinnoh Ruins, save and then collect the hidden plate on an emulator, or else it will freeze the game

that's it

Referring to this post since I'm playing on an R4. When I played I didn't have any trouble with Steven or his events; they worked fine for me. As for Mew Teleporting that did cause my game to freeze, so that should be ironed out, not sure what would cause the glitch though...

I haven't got the the Sinnoh Ruins part yet so I can't confirm or deny it.

I have acquired all the legendaries, and Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn starters caught. However, when I go to Cynthia with Infernape in front, my only two options are Sinjoh Ruins or battle - there's no third option to acquire the other two Sinnoh starters. In terms of general progress on the 492 quest, I have 360 in my Ndex (210 for Jdex) and 4/16 plates so far.

Would it be possible to start a game with the current version, and later continue playing with a new version of the hack? Or would I need to start a new game with the new version?

Will there be a document with the Trainer listings later on, like you did with BlazeBlack/VoltWhite

Enjoying the hack a lot so far, just reached Goldenrod and gathered almost enough coins for Ice Beam, Thunderbolt and Flamethrower. Thank god you can buy coins cheap now. I'm also using the rematch Trainers cheat on some rich trainers.

Turns out I did indeed forget to put in Ledyba's (or at least save it). It should be fine once you evolve it, but yeah... I'll make a note.

I did deposit him in the PC and withdraw, and it didn't change...

Both have been moved for what will be released as V2. I actually did the Amulet Coin before I even saw this post! Strength is now obtained just before four badges, btw, so the same as before.

and why can't Stunky/Skuntank learn Pursuit or Crunch by level up? they have a dearth of Dark type moves until really late...those moves are egg moves too.
I ignore them too much. I'll see what I can do.

and one final observation: the first trade in the game is a Rhyhorn for Gligar, but Rhyhorn isn't available until after Union Cave. Maybe you should have a Pokemon from Dark Cave or something there instead of Rhyhorn - maybe Bronzor or Sandshrew?
Nah, that was totally intentional; I wanted something a fair distance away so the player would have to work to get a Gligar that early.

I don't think I added anything that extra in training, really; there's a lot more extra fights and a sort of boss rush which can probably help you grind for experience. Nothing so easy as loads of Blissey though, sorry.

Doing the Kanto gyms first would be interesting, because the Kanto gyms aren't supposed to have stronger Pokémon than the Elite Four! But, on the other hand, I'm a purist... I'm afraid that would be too much; that means I'd essentially have eight versions (four for HG, four for SS) and that's way too much effort to maintain. I do understand the purist viewpoint, but think of it this way; it's not actually that different! It just means the E4 challenge is cut out and moved; the way I intend to do it means it'll basically be the same as before. Instead of Eight Badges -> E4 -> Eight Badges, it'll be Eight Badges -> Eight Badges -> E4. Plus, the E4 has a more epic feeling that late, imo.

...Really? Urgh, I've got way too many flags on the same character there. Noted.

Dray, can you change the "trainer is about to send [x pkmn]" with a line that hides it's name? It would make the game a tad more difficult.
I'd kind of rather not do this just because the Set option is available. Plus it sounds like Clyde will hunt me down if I do change it. :x

Would it be possible to start a game with the current version, and later continue playing with a new version of the hack? Or would I need to start a new game with the new version?
For versions that have the same main number (eg 1.03, 1.04, 1.05), yes, but if I bump up the version number then it means there's probably a fair bit of changes that will throw things out of sequence if you continue with the same save. For example, V2 has a lot of TM locations swapped around.
Will there be a document with the Trainer listings later on, like you did with BlazeBlack/VoltWhite

There will be for the Gym Leaders, Elite Four and whatnot, not for generic trainers though. If you mean the generic trainer one, that was only there for BBVW because I was trying to make sure everything could be seen in the PokéDex, I think, but it's a bit annoying to do. Kind of. But yeah, important trainers yes, generic no.

You're probably going to hate what I've done then, haha. I'm trying to make the TMs kind of like BW so I shifted the elemental moves a lot later and the Game Corner no longer sells TMs. Limiting people to one given TM (albeit with 999 uses) means things have to be cut!

Goldenrod Mart will probably annoy you more, though. BW style high TM prices and that.
