Which do you prefer for place names?!

Are you saying that there is a couple engish patched digimon story lost evolution downloads out there?

I found a few listed as "translated" but they ended up being just in japanese. They may be referring to the random english words that were already in the game?

In theory someone else could have google translated the dialog and put it in a pak and patched it. but that'd be all wrong and I haven't come across any.

Nah its like 99% japanese. The menus names and descriptions are all in japanese, and a few of the dialouge is in english. And I mean a very few. It was really just a few lines at the beginning of the game then then everything else was japanese for the most part. Trust me it is nowhere near as far as this project is. Probably someone who started it then gave up soon after.

Just to offer my meager services again, I'm not a translator, but I am a writer, and I would be happy to go over the text and make grammatical and spelling corrections. I only offer because I see things like "Holded Digimons" in the screenshots, when it should be "Held Digimon."

How about adding screenshots to the OP?

I will add new screenshots, but not now. We need to fix some graphics issues then it will be acceptable :D

 I made this error :ninja:

My native language is not English, that why there are some mistakes. I will double check for grammatical and spelling mistakes before do the patch.
What I need now is someone to correct my translations from Jap -> Eng or at least translate things that I can't understand.

But, thanks for your concerns.

I think if anyone should look after that kind of thing, it should be someone who speaks English as a first language (of course, even then I know lots of native English-speakers who don't know how to write correctly).

Well considering I'm a journalist who writes for several sites I think I'm quite qualified for the spot. And Black-Ice has proven himself quite capable with the role before.

I really think that if someone is asking to join the localization team, it should be in a post that isn't riddled with errors as that one was.

To be fair, a lot of Black-Ice's posts are riddled with errors. I correct him all the time ;)

But I fully agree with you.

Hi all,

First of all, thank you all for all your concerns in the project.
But right now, We will prioritize the translation over localization.
Localization is not a must right now.

So, please, stop discussing about Localization until at least finishing the whole menus and descriptions (I will provide the localization team with the files later when that time occur).

Makes sense to me.

Heck, the only reason I was discussing it was because myself and Black-Ice are listed for it on the first post and it seemed like someone else was interested. For the time being, we don't need anyone else for the exact reason you provided; can't localize if the translation isn't done yet. ;)

I make errors on purpose. ;O;
I'm an A* student in English. I'm also taking English Lit at college in September.
Also, anyone had a look at the Digimon World: Re-digitize translation thread in the psp section? Maybe we could cox some of the people there to help here as well?
Some of them seem to be capable translators as far as I can see.

I don't know anything about your English capabilities, nor do I wish to comment on them, but I just want to point out that taking English courses does not make you good at the language. I had this English major friend who came up to me like, "Yo, discursive means, 'not cursive', right?"

I wouldn't really consider checking grammar and spelling to be localization. That's more like changing the names of things, etc. It's really just proofreading.
