My Acekard 2i came in today and it worked on my DSi for one boot. I removed the memory card and formatted it and now my DSi doesn't detect my Acekard. What happened?

The DSi's detection of the Acekard has nothing to do with the MicroSD.

Therefore, there is an issue with the Acekard itself. It's probably the ubiquitous contact issue, and you'll just need to use the paper trick.
That just means to shove a piece of paper between the cart's contacts and its shell. If that's too hard, you can also shove it between the cart slot and the cart itself.

Yeah unlike the DSTwo and some other carts, the Ak2i doesn't use the "read some of the data to fake off the MicroSD" trick.

You did do the contact trick like this, right?

It's to push the cart's pins closer to the DS's internals, not the opposite way.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. It might be cause I'm having trouble pushing the paper and card in simultaneously. Other than that, I have no idea what's wrong.

if you are placing paper behind the card and having trouble inserting it then you are using a bit that is much to thick. if you push the card to far forward you risk bending the pins in your ds slot. the ideal method is to use very thin slices of paper and to build up until you have the perfect fix. i've found that phonebooks and thick women's magazines work the best.
