I have one of the most recent Wiis with no Gamecube Compatibility.

RestoreMii needs a Gamecube controller to work.

So what's an appropriate alternative to RestoreMii?

Thx in advance!

He was saying that if you don't have a hardware flasher, you need to make your own application because nobody else has made an application that works without a GC controller.

Hold the phone, why are you trying to use RestoreMii??? Do you mean this RestoreMii? If so what is wrong with your Wii and do you still have access to priiloaderl? You shouldn't use that RestoreMii, there is a reason that thread was locked. If not, what RestoreMii are you talking about?

After watching a vid on youtube, do you mean using Bootmii to restore your nand?? Because if so Bootmii can be controlled using the power and reset buttons.

BootMii's nand restore feature is called "RestoreMii". And for those new wii's without GC ports, since they also do not have vulnerable boot1's, bootmii will require the user to enter in the konami code using a GC controller.

Hmm I really hadn't heard of a bootmii restore being called RestoreMii until I saw that youtube clip. I guess I just have never really read all the text flying by during a restore. Ah I did forget about the konami code being required, hmm it would be nice if TT would update Bootmii so a restore can be done without the konami code, some combination of power reset maybe. But still...
If you can access Bootmii as IOS, then you have no reason to try restoring your NAND.
Yeah if he has access to Bootmii IOS then he could still fix his wii.

Why, nothings broken if he can...or to put it this way , restoring would not be needed.

Edit: that's what the other guys also said basicly....

Yeah, sorry if that wasn't clear but what I meant is the same as you and Joostin. If he still has the ability to run Bootmii IOS then he still has the ability to run other apps to fix his problem more directly.
