Wow, not bad.

Same here, but with Mabinogi instead of maple.

This is how Nexon runs their stuff.

Welcome to Nexon - First stop, dissatisfaction.

The problem here being that download speed isn't the debated issue.

You can download all your games instantly for all I care, but when people have problems with GFWL crashing their games or even stopping them from playing the games at all, that's when people start to have problems.

Hell, this complaint was recently discussed in the Dark Souls thread and you just wrote it off as the person being at fault.

YOUR EXPERIENCE DOES NOT ACCOUNT FOR THE EXPERIENCES OF ALL GFWL USERS.

Correct me if I am wrong, but... the debate here is about Origin, not GFWL. GFWL sucks, period. That's a well agreed opinion by just about everyone. But both some Steam games AND some Origin games (I would assume) have GFWL integration. I have GTA IV on Steam, which has GFWL integration, and I would assume some of the games on Origin have it as well.

For the record, I've been using Steam since way back in the day, when it got the same flak that Origin gets now, back when updates would completely break installs on a regular basis, the program was laggier than anything, crashed very frequently, etc. Origin is a relatively new service, and I'm not surprised it's going through the same rough patch as Steam once did. Am I annoyed that Origin removed EA games from Steam? Yes. It takes a platform that now works quite well and removes diversity from it. HOWEVER, it's market competition, which is not only necessary but also normal.

What happened to Steam users who had EA games already purchased? Are the games still available for download to those users only? I am looking through my list and can't find any that I can remember being EA games, and I don't remember if I owned any or not.

Edit - Burnout Paradise was EA published, I own it, but I still have the option to buy a gift copy for a friend... o_o (on Steam)

Haha, wow...I'm an idiot.

Somehow I completely missed that.

To Brandonspikes:
Sorry, due to my confusion, my attacks on Origin WERE baseless. I have no previous experience with Origin, so I retract anything I've said about it.

Everyone else....carry on!

I played Maplestory for almost 5 years, and watched Nexon turn the game into an all-out cashgrab. This was all while hackers ran rampant and completely unchecked throughout the game. Add to this the fact that their customer support is entirely non-existant, and you have a recipe for a horrible game.

lol you guys just have to be patient i know how you guys feel i waited a year to regain my lost nx 9k worth of it
plus don't blame nexon they didn't do nothing to get their crappy support it's the fault of the fking complainers for ex people literally send tickets to nexon for every little thing in maple story people send tickets saying "bring back the old ms or i'll quit"or send ddos every fucking day and in combat arms they will report you or send a ticket about you for supposedly hacking after one or more head shots or nut shoots so just be patient or just don't play their games simple as that

I had no idea Nexon was that rich. I barely played any of their titles, and now they're going to buy one of the biggest gaming companies in the world?! That's amazing.

Origin has better download speeds than Steam, AND uses less memory, Sure, why not.

So that's why downloading the client and updating happens at a snail's pace. I'm talking 300 KB/s here, sometimes (most of the time) even worse. What the actual flying fuck?

Next thing: the featured today. I've seen the BF3 Class Pack Thingie screen 3 days in a row when starting up a BF3 game. And what now? Something else? Lord of Ultima. The window title is "Vandaag gefeatured" (Featured today in Dutch), while the game description is fucking German?

Not only that, but the client language defaults to that native to the country your IP is from at install. I don't want to see freaky deaky Dutch when the rest of my system is English. Just use the system language. Besides that, the Dutch translation is horrible.

Edit: corrected some things.

Slight correction, Wizet made Maple if memory serves me right, you even have to click through their logo now (again last I remember, like 4 months ago.)

Regardless. Nexon sucks and should not be allowed near video games.
