im somewhere in the middle of it all. I charge in, button mash, certainly not the most strategic player . but i don't get to the point of insulting or rage quitting. and sometimes i lose repeatedly, like i often do against this one person, other times im a complete beast.
so i believe its just a matter of maturity more than anything.
Scientists have proven aggressive gamers are immature?!?? no wai

I must be a slight deviation in this in that case. The angrier I get at X boss, the more determined I get, granted I dont ragequit/throw the controler but still I have to have some emotion while playing otherwise it jst feels like a hollow victory. Besides who doesnt love repeatately rage-stabbing enemies in Zelda games will all their FURY! Or who doesnt lik blasting the hell out of the G.U.N. troops in Shadow The Hedgehog once in awhile.

Its not just anger though, some scenes make me bawl my eyes out. One example is Megaman Zero 4's ending.

Other than that I tend to be overly strategic at damn near everything.

they are some who are good before but then become aggressive and probably worse.

so if i start being aggressive in a game, i am going to lose correct?
Aggressiveness is a play-style, Like Passive, Safe, and moderate.

I think the source meant is getting emotionally aggressive like being angry or something. So yeah the more you get emotionally unstable, the more chances of losing.

Never had a problem with newbs or noobs...
The point of the games is to have fun, even if you're in an "almost-dead-and-nobody-helps-you" scenario... duh!

Those kind of people are less likely to succeed in life, never mind just gaming...if they can't even be nice to someone who isn't standing infront of them, what chances have they got in general.
Imbeciles. *RAGE QUIT*

It's a vicious cycle.

1: Being agitated impedes your gaming skills.
2: Playing with impeded skills makes you lose.
3: Losing makes you agitated.
4: GOTO 1.

I dunno, sometimes the frustration can make you focus more. Other times, it can make you unfocused and impede your skills. I know a friend that yells into the mic each time he gets killed, I hate sitting in the same room with him. Consequentially, he dies a lot, but most of the time he plays very well. The only reason he gets mad is because he knows what he's capable of, but he has a list of excuses to give as to why he did bad.

This is pretty much true in my experience, when you get angry you don't play well, that's true in so much things in life. Same in playing sports, you get angry, you start making mistakes and you'll be sent off the pitch in no time.

I guess by now you guys know I'm an angry type of person, right? (If you didn't, well you do now). I swear in every sentence, insult at every chance I get (even to friends), bitch/moan whatever.

What I don't get is why people are so upset over it? It's fun, it's basically the normal now. It's not going to change and your moaning won't change it, it just encourages it. I do it more when you say you don't like it and I'll still do it anyway if you don't care!

When I played Halo with my cousin online, I'd call a person a [censored] when I kill them. Don't know why, even though I killed them it takes the stress off.

Also I like to add, if you can't take one of my insults, you're not a friend! Hi @[member='soulx']

QFT. Back in the Halo 3 days I used to like this. I would get upset that I would die, then rush in to revenge kill out of frustration, only to die again. Made me more upset.
