My net sucks and the default youtube app wanting to stream HD with no option to stream SD is really annoying. I used to be able to just use youtube's mobile version in the browser, but they changed that and removed the option a bit ago.

I use ProTube from the Cydia Store for $1.49. Way better than MxTube and the (half-broken) YourTube in my opinion. You can download videos from it, and a built-in MP3 converter. It also provides you with options to download/stream your videos in different qualities.

It appears to use something that closely resembles the mobile site (but apparently isn't), so the UI's a lot better than the stock YouTube app, and MxTube. (Including comments, related videos, etc.)

Tried mxtube, but the lack of "home page" functionality and the fact that it wants portrait mode annoy me, so I got protube and yeah it's got the stream options, though all it's giving me is 360p... going to uninstall frash and restart the ipad and see if that was messing it up.

EDIT: Uninstalled frash and restarted ipad, still can only sleect up to 360p in protube. Also protube IS just a wrapper for youtube's mobile site, that look is the new one the mobile site got that disallows the quality setting by default...

Yea... ProTube is really just a skin of mobile YouTube with a download function.
