i'm talking about games where it's a turn based rpg like fire emblem, advance wars and final fantasy in battles but where you can dodge, counter and interact with your attacks like in mario and luigi ds games.

SRT: OG Saga Endless Frontier is turn based but certainly a lot more lively. Rather awesome if I do say so myself, definitely a shocker for me. First time I tried it and I thought it was trash, second time around I thought it was amazing. If you want a turn based RPG that's a bit more "caliente" then give it a try.

Maybe Chrono Cross as well but it's not nearly as lively. It's also a Playstation game so that's an issue.

OG Saga is a drag. You can save up all your specials and spend them all on one boss, and hardly do major-life-threatening damage. I hate endurance RPGs where they drag out the battles. Normally I love bosses. But OG Saga made me dread them.

Just started playing it so I can't really give much of an opinion other than I love what I've been playing so far. ; ) hopefully it won't be as draggy as you said.

It drags from mid-to-end.

The 1st hour or two is great, but when Bosses get "tougher" they really just get more HP, and just take much longer to kill. It inevitably gets to the point that bosses and random battles take way too long to kill as you grow impatient that you're making slow progress. I had to play with cheats, and even with cheats/infinite HP+SP, it'd take 3-5 minutes to kill a random battle.
