The problem that I'm experiencing is in any Source multiplayer game (Counter-Strike: Source, Garry's Mod, TF2). Basically whenever I try to play in a server for an extended period of time, I would disconnect and will be unable to move (it doesn't give the "WARNING: Disconnecting" tag at the corner, it just disconnects and if I was moving at the time it would freeze up as seen in this video, and after about 5-10 minutes it would show "Disconnect: BentlyDang has timed out."). This does not happen at regular intervals, it happens at random intervals. This sometimes gets quite annoying and I've tried searching it up but have not found a working solution.

Additional Information:
  • On a wireless network connection connected to a TP-Link router.
  • All game cache's are verified and checked
  • Other games such as Borderlands (Online Co-op), Starcraft 2, The Ship, and any non-Source games work flawlessly when playing online.
  • On other wireless networks (friends), it works flawless when playing Source games [So it's most likely a router problem]

Open up ports for those games maybe. Thats all I got.

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to test it out right now. I found a list of ports that steam uses (including the ports Source games use).
Just to add to it. Their are other things you can do. Such as reinstalling your games. Turning your router on and off. Computer on/off etc...

I don't think that would do much, but it appears to be working fine now. I've been in this server for more than 15 minutes and still no disconnect. Thanks again!
