Come on people, don't fill the thread with irrelevant clutter. The whole reason this one was made was to get rid of all the drama and useless posts from the old thread. Keep the support coming for the team, but try not to get off-topic.
On that note, please do not rush, or even feel bad for taking longer than you initially projected. Particularly for Den9k, real life takes priority over everything, so get yourself sorted before even thinking about stressing yourself over something so trivial as this. I know what it's like, I've been there myself recently after a cancer misdiagnosis debacle that spanned a good four months. As the good Mr. Twain once said, "all things in moderation, including moderation" - to repeat, do NOT stress!

aww man, just saw the "well-known" part of the beta testing requirements. I'm not as well known as i should be, especially since i barely post, but i do help out when i do post, or at least try to. And i dont really post unless i feel i have something concrete to say

Absolutely.
But it's not the only factor that goes into choosing beta testers. We don't want the patch to be leaked before it's ready (it's buggy as all hell anyway--at this point it's still nowhere near playable). Leaking the patch in its current form would cause more hate towards us than we need. So that's why we need trustworthy members. And the ones who are trustworthy are the ones who many people can vouch for. Hence, "well-known."

Sorry for being like the hundredth asker, but I'd like to be a beta tester.
My reasoning as to why I could be trusted to beta test:

My reasoning as to why I could be trusted to beta test:
- I've already done work on beta-testing one game (Nanashi no Game). I was on the google docs page with the project spreadsheet at least once a day, and entered as many bugs and translation errors that I could find in each playthrough.
- When I was testing the beta Nanashi no Game translation patch, someone I know somehow figured out that I had a patched ROM. Every time I logged into MSN, they would bombard me the entire time I was on, asking for the ROM. However, I never gave them the ROM until after the patch was released to the public.
- I have a lot of time on my hands. A LOT. Which is part of the reason I'm asking to beta test...I kind of need something to do. LOL
- If you need flash cart testers, I can do that. I have an R4 that runs Wood R4, so...

I am a beta tester for iOS (iPhone/iPad) games and would love to beta test this game. This would be my first NDS game to be beta tested if I will be chosen. Hope to be part of it. Thanks.

You really think Beta Tester is a dream job ? You have to be more focus on your task instead of enjoying it. Taking care of texts by itself can be done through the editing phase. The beta-tester needs to take care of fluidity, (and lots of stuff I don't remember who to say them in English damn... basic english is killing me... ANYWAY)
Just to say, if you're only applying to "play" the game, forget it.

i think many people know what beta testers do. me personally love what these guys are doing for us, and i would like to contribute for all their effort they have given to this game as a thanks for this translation

Many people know, but let's be honest, quite a few of them only apply to play the game first or to have the "honor" of the position. When it's actually a lot of work that they have to do. Some of them forget that they have to report back with errors. It's why we have to be careful who we choose.
