@[member='davebaol'] - XFlak has sent me your way... I'm in need of some help
Have run ModMii, no issues. Plug in my Verbatim 320gb hdd & using USBloader cfg (or any other loader) can sometime see my hdd, loaded a couple of games on to it - one loads then crashes after a couple of mins - the other won't go beyond the loading screen. Have tried cIOS249 d2x v7 base 58 no better so tried d2x v8 beta with base IOS58 - still getting same results. Have also tried Configurable USB Loader using IOS223-mload (been through them all)
hdd is on the compatibility list as working. Am I missing something in front of my face ...or is my Wii a proper doorstop?

Have also used the media prog (WiiMC) can play films through the Wii. Have reformatted hdd's as fat32 using fat32 gui formatter
Can load apps from usb, can also load films using WiiMC, using USBLoader CFG can't load my HDD as it can't find it?
When installed cIOS249 d2x v7 base 58, can see hdd's one game loads & crashes after a couple of mins, other game starts to load & freezes - have to power Wii off at the mains to restart it. Have tried installing a d2x v8 beta with base IOS58 takes me back to hdd can't be found with USB loader
Try v6. Maybe it's a coincidence, but I've seen way more posts about HDD problems since v7 came out.

Hi, WiiFool
I have solved the similar problem like your wii a few days ago.

It seems the usb port 's problem.
Neither the CIOS nor the hdd's problem.
The d2x CIOS are awesome and robust !!
The hdds what you used were ok according to my experience.

Since I can't fix the hardware problem, I have changed the MB of wii.

Hope this help !!

cIOS249[56]-d2x-v7-final.wad => d2x cios v7final base on ios56 install to slot 249
cIOS250[57]-d2x-v7-final.wad => d2x cios v7final base on ios57 install to slot 250

You can use other ios like 38, 37, 58 to install.
As I know, the IOS 56 and 57 were the most compatible IOS to wii games.

Thanks.

Wiifool have u tried simply deleting the loaders cfg files and retrying? Or using a different loader. Or trying a different fs format?

Yep tried different loaders all have same result. Must be something to do with the usb port. I can load & play games from sd card with no problems
Thanx for the reply, I think I'm all out of options

If you're really bored, you could try the other port with hermes IOS 222. I had to get a wii working for a guy whose kid literally ripped the bottom port out of the wii. It took a little work to set up, but USB Loader GX supports Port1 vs Port0. Don't know about CFG.

(if d2x supports port 1 vs port 0, please correct me.)

Sooo is v7 now final or not? I'm confused since everybody seems to use it as final, but it's still not in the first post of this thread.

Hey man, how are you? much to do nowadays?
I'm just a little curious as to what is happening and what is in focus with the d2x cIOS development nowadays.
Maybe you could tease us a bit with some information about the progress. :D
