Hacking Can't seem to get a NAND backup

So I messed up my wii badly and then got deadlyfoez to fix it back again.
I was working pretty well but I've only just played retail games on it.

One day I thought I'd back up all my stuff on a hdd and play through there for convenience. And I seem to have come up to a bit of a dilemma.
I couldn't connect online with monster hunter tri. I read online that the error I'm getting can be fixed by turning on my wiiconnect24 and sending myself a message. I'm not really sure why it would but might as well try it out.
So I wanted get a nand backup, but for some reason I couldn't get into bootmii. I imagine because I didn't have the needed bootmii files in my sd. So I went and try to reinstall it with hackmii (i forgot about modmii at the time)
but instead I got a dump stack error instead. I was later reminding about modmii. I tried to get the right bootmii files but I guess my router is not letting me download it for some reason. So I googled the needed bootmii files.
I tried to run bootmii with it but it comes out as a black screen. I'm not sure if it's the wrong bootmii files because I can't get it through modmii.

So basically what I want is to get a nand backup, but to do that I need to access bootmii, but I can't because i don't have the files, and I can't get the files either because I'm assuming I'm getting connection problems with my router with modmii.
I can't even reinstall bootmii because I get a stack dump error with hackmii. So I'm kinda at a loss here.

i know this is getting old, i was having the same problems a while back. an had to go backwards to go forwards.
if you can find it (or if joostinonline could help). get the older hackmii installer, an redo the homebrew, to the older version. then once it's loaded you'll have to update your homebrew to the newer version.(after you do nand dump). i'll go search for my post i put up. also before you start modmii, yurn your anti virus off, some times i still get the crap messages still. not sure why, but it's no big deal. well damn that blows, can't even find it. an i went back all the way to day 1 of me joining this site.??

IDK what the issue could be with you getting stack dumps. I never actually used your SD card to run the hackmii installer, so maybe it is incompatible. I ran everything from my SD card, and of course everything worked. I had launched bootmii from my SD card, but then put yours in when I made the nand backup.

As far as MHT.... still no idea. Maybe you're having an issue with your router since you can't get online with that game and you can't download files with modmii. You may also be launching the game with a cIOS that just does not play as nice with that game.

I'll keep my eye on this thread and help however I can.

I'm going to try to see if that fix actually works for mhtri now.

Should I be worried about that about that stack dump error though?

If things do work correctly with the files you have gotten then I would not be worried, but for me I am more so intrigued as to what was causing the issue.

Everything works perfectly now! I've got my backup and I can connect online with mhtri again. But I still can't seem to dl stuff out off modmii. Well at the moment I don't really "need" it, so I guess I'm good.
