Am I the only one wanting two PSN accounts? :/

I think the reason why is obvious. :P

Anyway, I might just stick to Japanese.

Oh, hey there Angel Gutierrez. That you, or your mom? Lol, should have had the insight to edit that part out. Now people are gonna stalk you and steal your Vita from your mailbox. :P

Oh yeah, that part you quoted is thickly drenched in joke sauce. Anyways, so no Japanese accounts as well. Not region-locked, but no viable access to other region's PSN is... well, is that not region-lock in itself?

i'm angel gutierrez. and i feel no need to edit out my middle and last name - what can anyone do with them?
plus, i'm on the gbatemp facebewk anyway :creep:

also, that's not a region lock. that's called having an american/euro/jap/etc psn account.
region locked would mean it can't play game cards purchased from foreign countries.

The flaming continues.

WHO TF NEEDS MORE THEN ONE PSN ACCOUNT ON A HANDHELD?
Small children who share Vitas won't care and no one else will even be sharing.
So again what is the point of complaining?
people who want to play a game that is PSN and region exclusive?
people who imported a game and want to get DLC for it as well?(main reason i got a US PSN account on my ps3)

sony essentially took what made the psp great and threw it out the window. I guess they just don't care how much they alienate their consumer base anymore. with this, the ridiculously high price of their new proprietary format, having to rebuy games u already own on the psp, long loading times (a common complaint from those who've already played it), and the possibility of about an hour's worth of battery life for games that tax the systems power, the ps vita looks like a major failure already.

like what?

memory sticks and no tv output for example. there's also the fact that people have to rebuy games for the psp to play them on the vita. with the high price of their new format, I can just imagine the total cost of buying all those games again especially considering some games r nearly 2 gigs. the way the system works is a disaster and no one should buy it. if it sells well, sony will just use that as an excuse to overcharge once again next gen...probably much more.

so memory sticks and tv out were what made the PSP great, ah i see.
i agree that memory sticks were convenient, as lots of devices used them.
but what you're not understanding is that sony wants to take control of their anti-piracy measures.
by creating this new memory card and having it strapped to media go, this means less chances for exploitation.
this means more incentive for developers to stay on-board and develop games for us to buy. as opposed to developers ditching a console because the AP is shit (look at the PSP)
you don't have to rebuy anything. if you have the titles on your psn account, you redownload them.
if you only have them on UMDs then hurrdurr why would you get rid of your UMD-enabled PSP anyway?
the price of the memory cards will surely drop by the time you get a vita (if you ever do) so you can stop whining about that.
also there are other brands that will manufacture the vita cards for cheaper.
if you can't afford to buy shit at launch, don't buy shit at launch and don't complain about it being too expensive.

Can't say I care much, only have the one account anyway - and i'm not one for sharing expensive technology with others.

But I can see Sony's route with the Vita already:

PS Vita will now only have only one analogue stick.

Second revision of Vita will feature resistive touchscreen (to save costs, everyone rages) and loses rear touchpad (no one notices...)

As a 'test' the third version of the Vita will lack memory card slot, game card slot and be limited to 16GB internal storage - when it fails Sony blame piracy.

Fourth version will be the same as second version, but prevents hacks by removing all 3G and wifi capabilities.

Final "cheap" version is just a plastic shell.

You heard it here first folks.
I can see that happening lol.

It's not like the 3DS supports multiple accounts.

Why expect any more of Sony's handheld?
