If you want to fight crime on the go as Batman or LA Noire's Detective Cole Phelps, there's an app for that. Today, OnLive announced the release of the free OnLive app for tablet and mobile platforms. Using the cloud-based gaming service, you can now stream over 20 of what OnLive calls "console-class" games to your tablet and mobile devices. Even if you're not interested in ditching your console or PC for cloud gaming, you might want to consider downloading the app. The icing on the cake for doing so is getting LEGO Batman: The Videogame free of charge.

When we last reviewed OnLive, we found the service's catalogue of games lacking. But since it's launched, OnLive has significantly increased the number of titles available to sample, rent, or buy to own. The launch of today's app further increases the number of options available for those who use the service with titles like Batman: Arkham City, LA Noire, and Assassins Creed: Revelations optimized to stream on your mobile devices.

You should be able to just search for it on the Android Market. If you can't find it, do the following:
Go to Onlive.com from your Android device.
Click Learn More where it says "Turn your device into a mobile gaming console!"(if you don't see it, click through the news until you do)
Next to the video there should be a link saying, "Available in Android Market," click that and it'll take you to it in the Market.

Shortly after you download the app, a full purchase of Lego batman will be added to your account.

Er, I'll stick with my physical copy, thank you.
One day, ENTIRE net goes down, then where will your precious games be?
MWAHAHAHAHA!

Never mind, you wait a bit after you sign in/create account and it'll automatically credit your account with the game.

Been waiting for this for a while. Unfortunately I don't have a tablet or anything to play it on, mainly because I was waiting for this release to decide which one to get.

Apparently the Kindle Fire supports it so I'll really be gunning for that one. I got a fair share of OnLive games and it'd be pretty awesome to play them somewhat on-the-go (meaning at school, around the house, other WiFi spots, etc).

Or maybe a day will come when I'll have a 4G phone. Then I'll just be using this all day every day.

i don't know if onlive supports 3rd party controllers/keyboard controls, but if you want to have proper controls in native android games and emulators you might be better off with an icontrolpad.
except for the media buttons, it has every button the onlive controller has from what i can see, it has a battery that can be used to almost double playtime on most phones, and it has a mounting clip so you don't have to find a place to put down your phone.

Think this will work on Ipod Touch 2nd generation when it's released for iOS?

Also, the current 'Onlive viewer' app on iOS lets you play Cake Mania so I've heard, I wonder if you download it now and play Cake Mania if you'll get Batman Lego for free. Anyone tried this yet?
