Gaming Skyward Sword beats Skyrim in G4TV deathmatch 2011

Gong! That was the sound of Videogame Deathmatch. 32 best-selling games from this year are gearing up to fight for the title: Best Video Game of 2011. The challengers are in place but it's up to you, the gamers, to decide who takes it all. Make sure your voice is heard and make sure your favorite game is crowned #1.

Skyward Sword faced off against The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and managed to pull off the victory 51% to 49%. In all honestly, both games deserve it, and despite there being one round to go, Zelda Vs Skyrim really was the final of the competition with Arkham City gone.

it's onto the final: Assassins Creed Revelations Vs Skyward Sword, where voting closes on December 14. so GO VOTE :3

...would be so cool if Skyward Sword was nominated the best game of 2011 *0*

( the battle with Batman was tough as well.... )

I can see Zelda beating out AC: Revelations since it seems like Zelda is better than it, at least of what I have played of both games. Still a shocker about Skyrim at least for me since that is my choice for GOTY, with Zelda and Batman close behind or not so close not sure.

Skyrim seemed to be the best game recently. I did not expect Zelda to beat Skyrim, quite surprising.

Last year people voted Majora's Mask to be game of the decade, and now they're voting Skyward Sword for game of the year.

People love Zelda because it has SOUL, unlike all these other GOTY nominees.

I think its funny that SS beat Skyrim, considering Skyrim got the entire PC, xbox and PS gamerbase, while SS only got Wii (may nintendo never let go of zelda!)

Zelda all the way. Never bothered with an Assassin's Creed game and never will. Skyrim has more content but obviously more people though Zelda is more fun. After all, most voting is always based on personal preference and I'd assume it is level of fun that defines which way you vote (for video games), but then again....gaming is fun? What!? naw that can't be

also, all the Skyrim fanboy hate makes me laugh and Guild, nothing will please you lately...guess there is always next year lol

That is no excuse about Skyrim. Huge advice play that game? Pfft. SS is winner. Because it is way so awesome to play game than use ps 3 or xbox 360 controller. It is really boring.
