Oh man, my hands haven't been this sweaty and cramped in a long time. Don't get me wrong I love the new Mario Kart, but I've finally decided that I don't like the feel of the Nintendo 3DS. I bought this thing at launch and at first I didn't mind the clunky feel, I thought it could take some time to get used to but it'd be fine. After I got Ocarina of Time I noticed it a bit more, but then again that game isn't as engaging as Mario Kart 7 and whoa after just one race I need to stretch my fingers and stuff. I especially hate the L Button because it feels so weird and awkward holding it down to keep a banana peel behind you.

Does anyone else notice this especially with Mario Kart 7? I mean, I might just need a lot more time to get used to the feel of the 3DS; I don't own many games for it.

Anyway, cheers & happy gaming,

AWD

Hmm, I don't have this problem, though it would be awesome to have some kind of handle addons, some third party make one for the 3ds yet? Even better with added battery life :P ?

My wife and I were actually complaining about the same problems. Something about the 3ds feels...strange to me. I just can't put my finger on it though.

You're not alone! Both my buddy and I are having separate problems. I've been experiencing mild soreness in my right wrist; although I do tend to grip real tight especially with MK7. Also my buddy's conplaining about stiffness in his index finger. I definitely feel a little more at ease I'm not the only one!

This game's just too damn addicting I don't see myself cutting back anytime soon =p

You can use the X button. I have never used the L button in Mario Kart DS (mainly because I had no idea it actually did anything), and it worked rather nicely with just the X button. Mario Kart 7 is no different.

It's mainly because I press the (A) button harder, thinking that it will make me go faster, plus I'm gripping the 3DS like a steering wheel.

see I have one of those power cases which adds some bulk to the 3ds and makes it fill out my hands more

Yeah, I have the same problem. It's something to do with my big hands and the tiny system. Probably should get a case or something for a better grip.

I'd get massive handcramps from most games that required both shoulder buttons on the DS. Not sure how good MK7 is in that respect but I know that feel bro.

I really don't know why though. I've played a few dual shoulder button games on my PSP Go, which is quite a bit smaller than my DS Phat, and I don't get them nearly as bad. It's really weird.

Maybe my hands are whiny bitches.

I got the same with MK7.
I'm considering to buy that "gamepad" thingy for the 3DS to relieve the handcramps.

were you same people complaining about pain playing the ds lite?

the ONLY problem i have with the system design is the L and R should be flush and not protruding like they are

For some odd reason the Lite feels better in my hands then the 3DS.
Then again I haven't played on my Lite since the beginning of 2011?
