Until I'm shown a laptop with better specs (within your price range), I'd say go for the Acer laptop. What's most important to you is the GPU, and the HD 6850M is the best one so far for your needs.
EDIT: In response to the "squeamish about Acer" comment, my dad has an Acer laptop and we've never had any problems. Even with others, the broken Acer laptops I've come across can all be attributed to misuse (spills and overheating). I've never actually encountered an Acer laptop with a design flaw (unlike HP).

I'm a little squeamish about Acer machines, but I could be wrong.

In my opinion, if you are going to use it mostly at home, I would build a desktop with very nice specs for a cheap price (I'd say 600-700$) and spend 300-400$ on a tablet/netbook/laptop. That way, you get a good bang for your buck in both the performance and the mobility department.

Allright everyone, seems like http://www.gigantti....50g-2671675mnss is the winner. Going to order it in about two days. Thanks for everyone's replies!

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm not concerned about the laptop itself, just the graphics card. I know Acer is a good/decent brand. Many of my friends have got Acer laptops so.. yeah.

If you want to spend 1000$ + another 1500$ then yes go for that!

Seriously but NO!

@OP

Check what the specs are for SW:TOR and try to find a lap that has specs slightly above that with a reasonable pricing.
