So if I already have a modded wii, although it hasnt been 'updated' for a while (Its running 4.2U with priiloader, but Im sure the ios's, hbc, usb loaders, etc are all out of date), should I still start ModMii from the beginning?

ie still do bannerbomb, then let it do hbc, priiloader, nand backup, etc?

Or should I just update all the software myself, then continue at a certain step in the document?

Thanks.

You can run a system check and let modmii scan it, it will then download whatever needs updating.

Thanks, thats what I ended up doing and everything that wasnt working before (like Kirby) is now working.

i think it was a bad idea to go to wii mod. too bad MMM desn't have evrything wiimod has. anyways sometimes in wiimod it goes down or up 2 times is one of my problems
what goes down or up? what u talking about?

But yea, I'm starting to think moving to wiimod was a bad idea too (sorry jskyboo!). I love that it's got a stable ahbprot wad manager so ModMii could remove the IOS236 Installer step, but that's nothing compared to it's shortcomings. Anyways, I've already spoken to jskyboo and fixing the wiimod problems. If he can't get it fixed in a couple weeks I'll likely revert back to using MMM. That being said if he works out the bugs, I'm willing to switch back to wiimod even if it's way down the road.

Hi,
I just updated my wii and everything is good, but I am unable to play gamecube backups through neogamma now. Do I need to reinstall Wiigator cmios v10 again. And if yes do I just install it through MMM like the other wads?

ModMii's default setting is to install the latest MIOS. You can enable an option to install a cMIOS if you like. But since you're already done ur softmod, u can just download the recommended cMIOS from ModMii's download page 4 (type "Rec") and install it using MMM or w/e.

Do I need to install RVL-cMIOS-v65535(v10) WiiGator Wiipower v0.2.wad through a MIOS patcher if I want to play gamecube back ups? I did reinstall the recommended MIOS when I updated but for some reason I can't play the Game cube back up discs through NeoGamma anymore.

I tried the SU, downloaded and installed the wads that it told me that I needed to update using wiimod. There was about 20 wads.
Out of curiosity I ran another sysCheck after that, and loaded it into the SU. It said I still needed 3 updates MiosV10, cIOS222(38)-v4, and cIOS223(37-38)-v4.

These three wads were just installed in the original update it said I needed, and both cIOS222 and 223 v4 were previously installed on my Wii about a year ago. When they showed up on the original update, I figured it wouldn't hurt to re-install them.

So I installed the 3 wads using MMM (using IOS236) this time, because of issues I was having with wiimod.

I ran another sysCheck after the install, loaded it into SU, and it still says I need those 3 updates.

Any ideas what can be happening?

thank you

The below was in the syscheck file for the 3 wads

IOS222 (rev 4): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, USB 2.0
IOS223 (rev 4): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, USB 2.0
MIOS v10

Hello XFlak, I love the ease of ModMii but I have discovered a problem when trying to use uneek-di. After choosing option 3 and ModMii starts the installation process an image flashes quick on my screen titled Sneek: Cannot find armboot.bin with an abort button on it, then it goes back to ModMii and installs all needed folders. When I look at the folders there is no armboot.bin, kernel.bin or DI.bin in the sneek folder or bootmiineek. My goal is to use neek2o and switch between emulated nands on HDD drive. Can I use Sneek intaller to generate those files and manually place them in the appropriate folders? or are the bin files specific to neek2o? I have also read every post on the forum: channel for neek2o, and found that the channel points to the kernel.bin in the sneek folder on the SD card then I downloaded shortz1994 new channel that points to the sneek folder on the usb and watched his vid on it. Thats the goal. COOL!

Any help would be greatly appriciated, Ive been wrastling with this the past 3 nights.
Thanks, Shag

Thanks for the quick response

well armboot.bin is no longer required, but the other kernel.bin and di.bin files are. ModMii works without a hitch on all normal windows environments, since u r having weird results, I recommend u try out vmware or reformat your windows machine.

But yea, it's possible to use the sneek installer manually to build neek2o or the original neek

When did that happen?

Once I manually generate the uneek-di bin files with sneek installer do I just place the kernel and di bin files in the sneek folder on the sd card, or the usb hdd drive?

Thanks,
Shag

Sorry if I should have posted this elsware ( I can move it if I have to)
