Nintendo has announced their Black Friday deals for the 3DS, featuring Mario and Zelda.

The first one, pictured above, is the recently released Super Mario 3D Land bundled with a Flame Red 3DS. The second one, which you can see at the source, is a bundle of Ocarina of Time 3D with a special black 3DS with gold detailing on it. Both bundles will go on sale November 24th for $199. Considering the normal 3DS price of $169, you'll basically be getting $10 off the game.

Nintendo will also be setting up booths around malls in America from November 21st to December 18th to display what the Wii and 3DS have this year for holiday shoppers.

The bundles so far are only for the US, no word of anything overseas.

this news was reported a few weeks ago.

in addition, the red bundle is merely a flame red system with super mario 3D land bundled in (nothing special)

the cosmos black system is however, special with the 25th hyrule emblem and gold details with a copy of the legend of zelda: ocarina of time 3D bundled in.
only bestbuy and gamestop will be receiving the zelda bundle, all major retailers are receiving the flame red mario bundle

in addition, bestbuy has both systems listed at $179.99 ($20 off of the msrp of $199.99) and opened up sales at noon EST today on their website for members of their reward zone program (limit one of each system per person)

Actually you could only order it at that price if you were a Reward Zone Premier Silver member (which you only get by spending at least $2500/yr there). For everyone else, it was standard $199.99.

This one's kinda lame. It doesn't have anything painted on it (unlike the Zelda one). I'd rather get the Zelda 3DS. Who would get a Mario game over a free Ocarina of Time? Well maybe those Mario fans would but nevertheless, Ocarina of Time is for hardcore gamers. And I'm a hardcore gamer.

If I could transfer my Ambassador privileges to the Zelda SE console, I'd buy a third 3DS. Even though I already own OoT too.

From what I read on another site, only best buy and gamestop are going to carry the zelda bundle.
I hate giving my money to either of those cash cows.
I instantly fell in love with it though, so I'm stuck. :/

Really? If it's true then I guess I have no choice but to buy from Gamestop.

You cant. I emailed nintendo:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Nintendo of America.

At this time, it is not possible to transfer your Nintendo eShop account from one unit to another. We have announced plans to make this feature available in a future update; however, an estimated release date has not yet been determined.

While the information on this feature is limited, I want to let you know that you will need to have both the current Nintendo 3DS and the new system in order to perform the transfer. If you trade in your current Nintendo 3DS to obtain a new system, you would lose your eShop account and be unable to access any of your purchases.

Please keep an eye on our website (http://www.nintendo.com) for information on any future system updates for the Nintendo 3DS.

Sincerely,

Mike Chandler

I have a broken DSi (L button doesn't work, and right one does sometimes) and Gamestop is having a trade in deal on these bundles. My friend who traded his DSi in said Gamestop didn't check to see if all the buttons worked, and his was in shitty condition. They still took it.

Since I have both games, and I'm happy with my aqua blue 3DS, I might just get the Zelda one and either give it to my brother as a gift or just never open it. Since it's limited edition maybe it could be worth something. Who knows.

Oh yeah, and there's always a chance of mine breaking, and then I have an excuse to use my super cool Zelda 3DS. We'll see what happens.
