Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Hey guys, I need help with CFG screen freezing up, please excuse that I'm not up on all the terms and whatnot.

My Wii is v4.3, a friend of mine walked me through softmodding using the Letter Bomb method, everything appears to be fine, the loader was installed on the SD, launch from the Loader Channel, once it gets to the blue CFG screen it stays there forever, after about 2 minutes it keeps retrying.

My friend who walked me through this, his was working on 4.1 wii, today he took his USB off to opy files over to mine and now his isnt working either, does the same thing as mine, just freezes up and keeps retrying.

We tried GX USB Loader as well, same thing, just keeps retrying....anyone have this happen before? Any idea what is wrong, considering his as working before?

I copied a backup of the usb-loader folder I made back to my USB HD. I'm having an issue where most of the time I load CFG USB Loader, it just shows the main screen, and the clock (which is wrong) and the covers disappeared. The Wiimote won't respond, but I can reset the Wii. Other times, when the Wiimote DOES respond (the clock is right, these times), if I try to do anything, like download covers, it stack dumps and exits. What's weird is that all my settings and covers were gone despite the backup. Do I need to install a fresh copy then?

Hi, i'm trying to use Ocarina without success.

I turned Ocarina ON and set defaut hook type VBI, so i downloaded with manage cheats options the .txt and set itens that i want and use save gct option so i press b and when i back to see the options they are not marked. I run the game and nothing happens. When i return to check if Ocarina is on i see that NO HOOKS are selected in hooks type.

Can anyone help me?

Loader Version: 70
CFG base: sd:/usb-loader
FS: [sd: ntfs: ]
Base: IOS57 rev21 mload v1.0

The whole usb-loader folder on to the SD card? The covers alone take up almost 70 MB. I wanted to avoid using it for anything but GH DLC (since SNEEK has failed on me). I'll try a fresh install of CFG first and see how that goes. Hopefully I can keep the covers, they take forever to download. Speaking of which, how do I get CFG to look for the covers on the USB?

Load Configurator and change the cover paths from SD to USB, then save your config.txt file.

Homebrew rarely runs well on HDDs. If you don't have a big enough SD card, go buy a 2GB Nintendo one for 10 bucks at walmart.

On the USB HDD, games sometimes crashed when loading, other times they would work for a while, then stall.
I tried moving it all to the SD card, and it still doesn't load covers, and it crashes (stack dump) every time I try to download some. This is really frustrating.

It would be nice if you could make UNDER-DIRS in the List of the Games

I would sort all games in Dirs

Sing Games
- xxx game
- xxx game
- xxx game
....

Action Games
- xxx game
...

It would be easier to find all the same genre games.

Also one Click "Sing Games" and now i can choose all game i included there.

I hope you understand me

So I bought an official mic for Guitar Hero World Tour, but apparently it isn't recognized. I then read that Hermes cios222 would fix it, but it didn't. I tried it with merged 37 and 38, I tried d2x on 247 and 248, I tried plugginf it in beforehand and afterward, but it never works...

Does anybody know why my mic isn't working? It's really pissing me off... Thanks!

Try this setup:
202[60]v5.1 rodries mod
222[38]v4
223[38+37]v4
224[57]v5.1 rodries mod
249[56] d2x v6
250[57] d2x v6

Then use 249.

Its the 223 you need for the instruments to run, 223[38+37]v4 is what ive always had in that slot and all gutiar games work fine

Just make sure to load with 223

Just make sure to load with 223

249[56]v6 should work the same as 223[38+37]v4, but since 38+37 didn't work I think 56 is worth a shot.

You can go to filter by genre and select karaoke I think, that should display all the sing games, (hopefully, i haven't tried it)

It's been sometime since I updated. Can someone enlighten me on :

1) I update to v70. Now "return to channel" doesn't seem to work as it exits to the main menu. CFG forwarder ID is correct.

2) Is "We Dare" working on v70 now? I did update my cioses to d2x v6

3) When downloading covers and the server (wiitdb) does not respond for a while, it stack dumps...

4) Is IOS reload block working? Should it be left at "Auto"?

not sure if this was response to mine, if so, did you mean launch cfg from homebrew? if so, yeah ive tried that, ive tried launching it from the USB Loader channel that shows this wii remote, and both do the same hing, go to the blue cfg screen and stay there for a couple minutes, then says retrying, and something along the lines of hdd not found.

Is your HDD plugged into the port closest to the edge, and is it formatted as FAT32?

Is your HDD plugged into the port closest to the edge, and is it formatted as FAT32?

yup, ive tried doing this from USB, from SD card and nothing is working, not sure where to go from here, and like I said my friend who walked me through all this, his was working fine, but he unplugged his thumb drive from USB to copy some of his files to my sd and usb drive, when he put his back in his wii now he's getting the same error, so maybe his worked out of luck.

My kid is asking everyday when am I going o get it fixed, so any help or anyone willing to maybe walk me through this from the beginning to ensure its being done right I would really appreciate it.
