Not bad at all. The trolls at GameFAQs would have you to believe that the Wii version of this game is absolutely horrid. I think I might be able to enjoy this game. So many super hero games this year (this game, the new Spidey game, Power Rangers Samurai this November and Super Sentai Battle which came out recently) it's awesome! This gaming season might not be as star powered as last year but there are definitely some good/decent games coming out for the Wii during this latter half of the year.

just looked at the wii version the game does look like a game i can play.i just don't like one thing when the charters are speaking to each other your just seeing their picture.before anyone says anything i know there are choices to select from before the character speaks to you but it would have been better to at least see a cut scene instead of a comic pic.

also this may be a little of topic but what is it with ign saying this is exclusively on the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3
same if i remember correctly goes for sonic generations exclusively on Xbox 360, 3DS and PS3.
it is sad that on ign i can't click to see the Xbox 360 or PS3 version from the Wii section.

aren't all these games the same in the end but on different systems.

edit
they also all have the same cover art.

I tested the first level and then put it in a trash can. The collision detection is really poor. After a 3 hit combo the character just stands still for a few seconds no matter how hard or mad I pushed the buttons. The camera is awful! It spins around without control like in those 90's MTV videos. I'll be looking for the ps3 version since the story sounds pretty interesting, but I think this wii port is really bad.

Sorta saw some previews for it but it never got a whole lot of hype or anything. Plus the Wii version already comes off as a half assed Wii port.
That's exactly what this game is. Gave this game about half an hour; the first level is a barf-colored wasteland and cutscenes are done with oversized, poorly inked/colored images. It's as if they hired whoever draws the incredibly half-assed X-Men drawings for childrens' coloring books to do all the art for the Wii version. It just looks really bad. Now you'd think "man koshehs such a graphics whore" -- well, you see, when the drabness of the level and the terrible camera is so bad that it actually leads to very confusing dead-ends that aren't obvious until you noticed the weakly-flashing points where you're supposed to climb up.

Oh and I should probably mention that character's mouths don't even move in cutscenes. And when characters are actually interacting and making gestures and all, it's really weird for voices to come out and no mouths moving about in response.

and oh jesus, climbing segments require you to STOP MOVING on the platform, jump STRAIGHT UP and then move accordingly. Any other way and you won't jump high enough to reach the next higher level of jutting grip.

i think i'd like to try the PS3 version, I have a feeling it's more of the same but it probably offers more freedom/better level design/better controls/more everything

i wonder if the PS3 version has subtitles :/

is the wii weaker than the gamecube i really want to know this.when i looked at the 360 version, it looks like the wii could have pulled off these graphics.when i play games its not always about graphics but come on this game doesn't look all that realistic.why couldn't the wii get a nice opening or movie scenes like the other consoles.got this straight from an ign user comment sadly i don't believe this is the case for the wii because i know the wii could have pulled off these graphics or came close.i really don't know if i can play this on the wii i rather get the 360 version because it looks better.playing on the wii would be a waste of time.

comment from ign
Activision had zero faith in Destiny for Wii. I wrote them a letter requesting pics of the Wii version so that I as a customer could decide which system I planned on getting it for. Activision told me:

"Thank you for contacting Activision! We apologize for the inconvenience. As you said, the Wii does not have the graphic capabilities that the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 possess so we do not always include those screenshots."

"This is how games work for platforms. Games that are released on multiple platforms have copies made. The Xbox 360 version will be the original copy, then a copy of that will be made for Playstation 3, then that copy will be made for the Wii. When copies of a game are made it will diminsh the graphic qualties slightly. Since the Wii cannot render the display properties that Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 can, they have to alter the copy more so it can be visible. If the marketing team has not released screenshots of the game yet there is nothing we can do. We do not have screenshots available in this department."

I think you guys are taking this totally out of hand. The game looks great! It's a classic example of when you have lemons, make lemon aid. Maybe you guys should start judging your Wii games based upon the game alone and stop comparing every Wii game to a "PS360" game. I honestly love what Activision has been doing with their recent comic book games to the Wii. They basically keep the core game in tact and change the art style to a cel shaded or in this case semi cel shaded design. Yes, the character's mouth does not move during the cut scene. Who cares? The only major issues I have are the camera and climbing related stuff (as a Nintendo gamer I hate it when jump is mapped to "B"). This game proves EVERYTHING I said about the Wii. Instead of giving up on the system because of lack of graphic fidelity, just use the tools you have plus modern design techniques (TECHNIQUES not engines, huge difference). I'm glad I can sit on my ass, enjoy this game and basically say (I told you).

I'm huge fan of the X-men and the Wii but this game is a complete and utter nightmare...

lazy Activision, there are soooo many awesome Wii games I have to try, this game is just a lazy/economic port, trying to rip off kids that have only a Wii...

awful graphics for Wii standards, and I'm not comparing to other versions...
