Cyan said:About the Nand emulation:
Partial:
It will use /titles/ folder from the device:/Nand/ path you set in the setting. (it will read/write saves on this folder)
It will use your Wii real NAND for all the rest (loading Mii, Wii region settings and network setting for example)
Full:
Will use the full device:/Nand/ folder as if it was your Wii (save, Mii, game log, Wii settings, etc.)
Attention, you need to use your own Wiimote (if you go to someone else home and use his wii, his wiimote won't be associated with your Nand dump).
Place:
If you use USB to store the emulated Nand, It's recommended to place it on a different partition than the launched game.
It's better to use SD card, though I didn't try games with SD card access (SSBB for example).
Empty Nand:
An empty Nand (just select an empty folder) can be used with Partial emulation option.
The required folders will be created to save the games on your SD or USB instead of the Wii internal memory.
Of course Full emulation option require a real Nand dump or a fully created one (like the one created for Sneek).
How should the HDD be partitioned for it to be recognized with Nand Emulation?QUOTE said:Place:

Yeah that should work like that! The nand should be on the fat32 partition.kylster said:How should the HDD be partitioned for it to be recognized with Nand Emulation?
Currently my ext.hdd has 2 partitions [Active/Primary FAT32 cluster size32] + [NTFS]

Just insert your sd card and set Nand Emulation to partial in GX loader settings.
Quite noob-proof, isn't it?
EDIT:
Cyan, you beat me for few seconds
Oh nand dump created with ModMii or analogous tools don't let you play online with full emulation.

Does this mean we have to re-create a fresh nand for online play, or can the nand dump be created with a specific extractor to get around this issue ?
I used bootmii and then showmiiwads to extract my savegame nand data, does this mean all my online play accounts need to be re-setup ?
d_bizzzz said:Working now ... I renamed my nand folder (xnand), created a fresh blank nand folder, and RB2 ran fine, it created a new save and now loads up and saves nice and fast.
So I guess I must have a corruption in my RB2 gamesave, odd tho as it used to work fine when on the standard Wii nand, I guess as I've exported the gamesaves and played around with it somewhere it's got corrupted, I reckon if I go back to my original wii nand dump and try again my precious RB2 gamesave will still be on there un-corrupted.
Next thing I was hoping to try was if the 4 port usb and mics all work fine on 249[56], I kno they used to work on 251[57] but nand emu didn't work on this slot for some reason. Will post some results soon if anyone else is interested in the best setup for using 4-port usb for the RB peripherals and Karaoke games.
Thanks again folks for the slot advice, and thanks daveboal and crew for such an amazing D2X update, this one is by far the best to date !

I was running Custom IOSX rev 19 no problems.
I then updated to Custom IOSX rev 21. Freezes within minutes of loading a game.
I then updated to Custom IOSX rev 21d2x. Still freezes, but not as frequent.
Is this happening for everyone? Where did I go wrong? Is it possible to "downgrade" back to Custom IOSX rev 19?
PAL Wii 3.2E
USB LAN
Seagate GO! 2.5" HDD
USB Loader GX latest version (2.2)
Any info will be appreciated.

The number in the bracket is the base IOS used. Every game requires a certain IOS to run (example would be that Black Ops needs ios 57. So people would use cIOS250[57]).AmitZ said:Please explain to me the differencres between the base numbers in bracket.
(e.g: what is the difference between cIOS249[37], cIOS250[37] and cIOS249[38])
