My friends are having a Pokemon tournament next week and they said they have some sort of tool or program they can use to tell if you used Pokesav or not? I always believed as long as all the information was correct such as location caught and the stats arent 999 across the board you can get away with hacking. Am I wrong, is there really a program to detect if you used hacked pokemon?

You didnt follow my question. Is there such a tool or program to run and see if the team has been hacked?

Why would you used hacked Pokemon in a tournament with friends?

Because the tournament takes place in a week from now and the extensive amount of time it takes to put a team together isn't worth doing legitimately if its going to be for a short period of time. I just wanted to know if they were BSing about the whole thing about using a program. I'm gonna call on their bluff and say there isnt any program but I wanted to play it safe and ask you guys.

Well...that's kind of betraying your friends' trust isn't it? If they're asking to use legitimate pokemon and you're instead using hacked ones?

This whole topic isnt about what is morally right or not. I dont care if you like me or not, all I ask is a simple question as to whether a not a program to detect the use of pokesav exist?

I'm really trying to not come off as an asshole but I just want to be able to make some quick Pokemon that are within legal boundaries such as status, abilities, and moves. Nothing more.

Then why don't you use Pokémon-Online ?

Tools exists by the way, google can easily find them.

When you type Legality Checker

Which is why I came here to ask for such tools. I tried googling and all I found are FAQs to look for yourself to see if a Pokemon is hacked. That is not what I had in mind.

There is no mystical tool that will just check some glorious value that gets shifted to 01 if you ever so much as load the pokemon via, say, pokesav.
your friends are full of bullshit and so is everyone in here that goes all "huuurrrr durrrrr its not morally correct to cheat your friends". seriously. Do you lynch people that spit in the street too?

I don't see how being fair is bullshit to be honest, if you don't have the time or the will to level Pokémon just to play a match, do it via Pokémon-Online, that's it.

I'm just trying to get on the same playing field as someone so its fair game. As long as I dont put an absurd ability or moves I dont see the issue here. Do you want to explain what isnt fair here?

There's no need for a big morality discussion here. I simply asked OP if it's something worth cheating over. It obviously is for him/her... He/she knows right from wrong.

Having not invested your time.
If thats all you have to say to defend your argument I'm sorry but I have to say that is pretty weak and sounds petty to be honest. Just because you worked on your game for long doesnt give you anymore right to play than I do. In the end what matters is how well you use your team is the way I see it. You can hack all you want but if you dont know how to use the team you created it all falls back on the hacker. For me it isnt an issue as I know how to properly train a team. My only issue is time and I only have a week to spend making a team.

Fairness is for people who have not realized yet that life is not pretty or fair.
If you can cheat without getting caught do it. Doesn't matter at what. Morals are only there to be fed to the trash can anyway.
Thats how things really are.
